Two shot in Summerlin park robbery

Two people were shot during a robbery early Thursday morning at a west valley park, according to Las Vegas police.

Police said four to five black men approached a young man and woman just after 2 a.m. at the South Tower Park in Summerlin, near Charleston Boulevard and Vista Center Drive.

The men demanded the couple to hand over their property; the couple complied but were both shot in the leg. The wounds were non-life-threatening.

The robbers drove away in one of the victims’ vehicles, described as a green, four-door 1999 Mitsubishi Gallant LS with the Nevada license plate 793-LRD. There was a spare tire on the front passenger side.

The men are described as about 16- to 18-years-old wearing dark clothing and basketball shorts.

The gunman is said to be about 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build in a white t-shirt, black shorts, black thick-rimmed eyeglasses and having short dreadlocks.
