Wisconsin man wins $1.23M jackpot at downtown Las Vegas casino

Updated February 15, 2018 - 3:55 pm

A guest of the Fremont in downtown Las Vegas hit a IGT “Wheel of Fortune” jackpot valued at $1.23 million, according to a statement from the hotel.

The Fremont guest, who is from Wisconsin, hit the jackpot about 6:40 a.m. Sunday. He made a $2 bet on the “Wheel of Fortune” Double 3x4x5x Pay game to claim the jackpot, the statement noted.

This is Fremont’s second jackpot in less than seven months. On Aug. 8, a guest identified only as Rodolfo T. won a jackpot valued at $11.8 million on IGT’s Megabucks at the Fremont.

IGT progressive jackpots typically offer a lump sum payment less than the actual jackpot or they can be paid out in annual installments over a number of years.
