Woman in critical condition after northwest Las Vegas crash
July 14, 2016 - 8:39 pm
A woman suffered life-threatening injuries after a crash that police said may have been caused by a medical episode Thursday night in the northwest valley.
The crash happened about 7:30 p.m., said Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Timothy Hatchett.
The vehicle driven by the woman — who Hatchett said was elderly — struck a pole, then a fence at slow speeds in the area of 7626 Lone Mountain Road, just north of Leavitt Middle School.
The woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was still facing life-threatening injuries as of 9 p.m.
Because of the severity of the woman’s injuries, fatal investigators were dispatched to the scene to investigate, Hatchett said.
