Woman killed in bus crash identified

The woman killed in a collision with an RTC bus in the west Las Vegas Valley Thursday has been identified as 45-year-old Trinese Desire Bolden of Las Vegas, according to the Clark County coroner's office.

Bolden drove a silver Audi sedan through a red light at the intersection of Desert Inn and Fort Apache roads and collided with the bus, according to police. The bus, which wasn't carrying any passengers, spun around and hit a white GMC pickup, Metro Sgt. Richard Strader said Thursday.

Bolden died later at the University Medical Center.

Strader said excessive speed appeared to be a factor in the crash.

The truck and bus drivers suffered moderate to serious injuries and were taken to UMC, Strader said.

This was the 94th traffic fatality in Metro's jurisdiction in 2015. There were 95 at the same point in 2014.
