Woman shot to death Sunday night near I-15 and Lamb

In a matter of two hours late Sunday night, North Las Vegas police were left with two fatal shooting investigations.

They are not related, said Officer Aaron Patty, a police spokesman.

Police were called to an on-ramp of Interstate 15 at Lamb Boulevard about 11 p.m. where they found a 28-year-old woman who had been shot, Patty said.

Witnesses told detectives the woman had been in a vehicle with the shooter before they both got out and the woman was shot multiple times, police wrote in a release Monday night.

The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center where she died, Patty said.

"Detectives are not prepared to release suspect or vehicle information at this time," the release said.

About an hour prior, police were called to the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Craig Road, Patty said.

Another woman was wounded in what police described as a domestic-related shooting, Patty said. The woman died at University Medical Center and the man police said shot her was arrested and faces a murder charge.

Anyone with information on either shooting should call police at 702-633-9111. To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
