LV man involved in fatal Arizona hit-and-run

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A Las Vegas man who police did not immediately identify was the driver involved in a fatal pedestrian-vehicle collision in northwest Arizona on Monday.

The victim was dead at the scene of the incident on Historic Route 66 just north of the Kingman city limits.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety said the victim has been identified as Sean Ryan, 60, of Lake Havasu City.

Agency spokesman Tim Case said fragments of the grill and headlight assembly were gathered as evidence at the scene but that the vehicle involved and the identity of its driver were mysteries.

“The driver of the vehicle turned himself in the following day but his name hasn’t been released yet,” Case said. “He’s from Las Vegas, though that is all I can comment on at this time.”
