A young boy is in critical condition after being hit by a truck Monday evening at Woodfield Drive and Minden Way, near Sahara Avenue and Nellis Boulevard.

The 8-year-old was bicycling about 6:30 p.m. across Woodfield Drive and was struck by a 2012 Dodge Ram going west on Minden, according to Las Vegas police.

The boy was taken to University Medical Center. According to Las Vegas police, as of Tuesday afternoon, he was listed as critical condition, but stable.
