Boring Co. Vegas Loop’s next station to open at this Strip resort

The Cheyenne Avenue onramp to southbound Interstate 15 in North Las Vegas will be closed this weekend, the Nevada Department of Transportation said.

The closure will run from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday as crews install underground storm drain boxes below the ramp, NDOT spokeswoman Adrienne Packer said. The work is related to the city’s $9.2 million project to widen a water channel running alongside I-15.

North Las Vegas city officials have previously said that the channel narrows at Cheyenne, creating a choke point. Widening the channel will allow more water to flow through safely. The project is expected to be completed by spring.
