Cool temps in Las Vegas this week

Residents across the Las Vegas Valley can expect a week of cooler temperatures, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures will stay well below the seasonal average of 91 degrees, but by the end of the week they may start to rise, meteorologist John Salmen said.

Sunday saw a high of 81 degrees and a low of 59, Salmen said.

Monday will be slightly warmer with a high of 82, but the valley will cool down again with a forecast high of 80 on Tuesday and 78 on Wednesday, he said.

The valley may see 10 to 15 mph breezes throughout the week, and there is a slight chance of rain after Wednesday, the weather service said.

Thursday will likely see a high of 83, and Friday will warm up to 88, Salmen said.
