Dry, calm, cool weather in store for the valley

The Las Vegas Valley will be dry, cool and calm early this week, but that's likely to change by midweek.

Tuesday will see highs in the mid-50s, lows in the mid-30s, and some passing high clouds, according to the National Weather Service.

These temperatures are slightly below normal, with usual highs about 58 and lows near 39 this time of year, meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

The valley will be "dry and pretty calm" until Wednesday evening when "things get unsettled," Steele said.

Wednesday could see increased cloud coverage, and winds may pick up, according to the weather service.

There may be some chance for rain closer to the weekend, Steele said.
