Warm and dry for Monday but cool down coming for Las Vegas Valley
February 20, 2017 - 7:28 am
A brief stint of warm weather is ahead for the Las Vegas Valley before temperatures significantly cool down, the National Weather Service said.
Monday proved a dry day after record-breaking rainfall over the weekend, the weather service said. The dry weather brought partly cloudy skies and a 66-degree high.
Tuesday’s forecast high is 72 degrees, but will be “fairly gusty” with 20 to 30 mph gusts, meteorologist Chris Outler said.
A wind advisory goes into effect Tuesday for the Spring Mountains, the weather service said.
Highs are forecast to drop off midweek, bringing closer-to-normal temperatures for this time of year, the weather service said. Wednesday’s high should reach 67 degrees, followed by 58-degree highs Thursday and Friday with mostly sunny skies.
The valley is expected to remain dry this week, the weather service said.
