Warmer weather, possible rain for the weekend in the Las Vegas Valley

Warmer weather is in store for the Las Vegas Valley this weekend, but next week may bring some rain, according to the National Weather Service.

The valley saw a high of 61 degrees Friday, but temperatures will rise over the weekend with a high of 69 degrees Saturday and 71 degrees forecast for Sunday, meteorologist Caleb Steele said.

There is a slight chance of rain late Sunday afternoon. Come Monday, the valley can expect a 40 percent chance for rain and some snow high in the mountains.

Monday and Tuesday promise to be cool, with highs of 66 degrees on both days, Steele said.

Winds throughout the weekend into next week should stay between 10 to 15 miles per hour, Steele said.
