Warming trend expected in Las Vegas for first week of December

December is here, but increasing temperatures across the Las Vegas Valley mean it won't begin to look a lot like Christmas just yet.

"There's going to be a gradual warming trend," National Weather Service meteorologist Chad Shaffer said Tuesday.

Tuesday saw a high of 57 and a low of 33, the weather service said. The normal high for Dec. 1 is 59 degrees.

The forecast calls for a high of 59 on Wednesday and 61 on Thursday.

"We can't ask for much better weather for this time of year," Shaffer said.

There's no chance for rain or snow in the near future.
