‘Las Vegas Law’ renewed for second season

“Las Vegas Law” is returning for a second season.

The Investigation Discovery series, which follows Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson and his prosecutors, is filming six additional episodes set to debut in 2017.

“Cameras are out in the field right now as summer heats up in Sin City, capturing real-life cases from the moment they hit D.A. Wolfson’s desk,” Kevin Bennett, general manager of Investigation Discovery, said in a statement.

The first season, which debuted in May, focused on high-profile cases such as the 2013 Strip shooting by Ammar Harris.

Despite initial criticism of the series, Wolfson stood by the show and his attorneys in a May interview.

“I always told the lawyers in my office that the integrity of the office and the integrity of the case is first and foremost,” Wolfson said. “And nothing should be decided based on the fact … that a television crew was following the story.”
