ROUNDUP: Greene leads Falcon boys to win in three-team meet

Carl Greene won a 3.1-mile race in 17 minutes, 10 seconds Tuesday to lead Foothill’s boys cross country team to victory in a three-team meet at Arroyo Grande Park.

Foothill had a team score of 32. Green Valley was second with 40, followed by Basic with 55.

Green Valley’s Doug Harris took second in 17:36, eight seconds faster than Basic’s Jonathan Stiles.

Centennial captures four-team meet
At Floyd Lamb Park, Centennial runners took seven of the top 11 spots as the Bulldogs cruised to victory in a four-team meet.

Centennial had a team score of 31. Arbor View was second with 50 points, followed by Moapa Valley with 56 and Legacy with 109.

Moapa Valley’s Josh Thompson nosed out Arbor View’s Greg Marschik for the individual win. Both runners finished the 2.85-mile race in 15:42.

Coronado sweeps past Liberty and Rancho
At Sonata Park, Alex Carrasco won a 2.8-mile race in 16:12, and his Coronado teammates took the next seven spots as the Cougars breezed to a win in a three-team meet.

Coronado had the minimum 15 points. Liberty was second with 61, followed by Rancho with 64.

The Cougars’ Ryan Gerhing was second in 16:25.
 

At Del Sol, Dante Carter won a 3.1-mile race in 18:24, helping Silverado capture a four-team meet.

 

The Skyhawks had a team score of 36, three points better than Tech. Del Sol was third with 63, and Boulder City took fourth at 96.

 

Del Sol's Casey Walter finished second in 18:38.
