ROUNDUP: Mustangs’ Schenck leads field; Aggies win team race

Shadow Ridge’s Michelle Schenck won the individual title Tuesday in a three-team meet at Faith Lutheran.

Arbor View’s girls took the next five spots and finished first with 28 points.

Shadow Ridge was second with 43.

Schenck won the 2.8-mile race in 18 minutes, 46 seconds, followed by Arbor View’s Courtney Willey (18:54) and Andrea Gonzalez (19:17).

Lucas, Cougars win four-team meet
At Hemenway Park, Coronado’s Lauren Lucas won the 2.8-mile race in 19:08.1, and the Cougars won the meet with 19 points.

Tech (59) was second, followed by Liberty (82) and Boulder City (83).

Coronado’s Erin Smith (19:08.5) and Kristal Hosaka (19:31.5) finished second and third, respectively.

Clark edges Spring Valley in three-team meet
At Desert Oasis, Clark finished with 35 points to top Spring Valley (37) and Desert Oasis (56).

Spring Valley’s Dannica Puente won the 3.1-mile race in 21:36, followed by Desert Oasis’ Lizenda Licea-Diaz (22:03) and Clark’s Kelsey Rastello (22:18).

Gators win three-team meet
At Basic, Green Valley’s Morgan Oswald won the 2.65-mile race in 17:53, and the Gators placed four in the top five to win the meet with 19 points.

Basic was second with 40, and Henderson International had no team score.

Basic’s Erika Oceguera finished second individually in 17:58, and Green Valley’s Alyssa Rapovy was third in 18:12.

Foothill claims home meet
At Foothill, Cheyanne Jones won the 2.5-mile race in 16:33.7 to lead the Falcons to a first-place finish with 18 points.

Silverado (43) was second and Del Sol (85) third.

Foothill’s Sage Long (17:22.2) was second, and teammate Steffani Stokes (17:34.8) placed third.

Palo Verde perfect to beat Cimarron
At Palo Verde, the Panthers took the top nine spots to finish first with a perfect score of 15.

Cimarron finished with 50 points.

Palo Verde’s Kelsey Koch won the 2.85-mile race in 18:51, followed by Victoria Moran (19:58) and Kimberly Coombs (20:16).
