FLAG FOOTBALL: Fennell’s passing sends Falcons past Del Sol

Sam Fennell was 26-for-38 passing for 414 yards and four touchdowns Wednesday as Foothill’s flag football team routed visiting Del Sol, 35-0.

RaeAnn Brems had eight catches for 111 yards and two TDs and rushed for a touchdown, and Korina Bush and Renee Ritchie each caught a TD pass for the Falcons.

Emily Russell had nine catches for 84 yards, and Taeondra Johnson supplied five tackles and three sacks for Foothill, which led 22-0 at halftime.

Boulder City 20, Basic 6 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell tossed two touchdown passes to Jane Nevarez to lead the Eagles by the Wolves.

Carmell completed 8 of 14 passes for 145 yards and rushed for 67 yards on seven carries for Boulder City.

Kinsey Smyth had 55 yards rushing and a touchdown, 65 yards receiving, and three interceptions for the Eagles.

Western 19, Bonanza 18 — At Western, Larissa Herrera supplied two rushing touchdowns and threw for a score as the Warriors edged the Bengals.

Western trailed 18-6 before Herrera scored on a 28-yard carry and a 24-yard carry in the second half for the final margin. Nathalia Luna caught a key extra-point conversion from Herrera to make it 18-13.

Tamika King caught a 12-yard TD pass from Herrera in the first half.

Bonanza’s Cheyenne Crouch opened the scoring with a 3-yard TD rush, and tossed TD passes of 18 yards to Brianna Hernandez and 60 yards to Ty Baskerfield.

Mojave 19, Clark 7 — At Mojave, Dilyn Johnson had two second-half touchdown runs to help the Rattlers beat the Chargers.

Kiara Tench tossed a first-half TD pass to Nancy Lopez for Mojave.

Stephanie Chavez had a touchdown run for Clark.

Cimarron-Memorial 34, Legacy 21 — At Legacy, Jaymee Luke rushed for three touchdowns and threw two TD passes to DeShan Cambrit as the Spartans rallied from a 14-0 deficit to top the Longhorns.

Luke was 15 of 27 for 192 yards passing, and rushed for 109 yards on 12 carries.

Logan DeLong caught seven passes for 57 yards for Cimarron.

Avi’Ana Shelton rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries, and Shardell Purdy tossed a touchdown pass for Legacy.

Centennial 26, Virgin Valley 6 — At Mesquite, Zshalyn Canfield threw two touchdown passes to Shelby Neubeck as Centennial downed Virgin Valley.

Tiana Bonds had 60 yards and a touchdown on six carries, and Ashley Marshall rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown on eight carries for Centennial.

Class 4A: Deborah Grant rushes Green Valley to championship

Deborah Grant ran for 189 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries to twice lead the Gators to a 14-13 victory over Bonanza in the Class 4A state flag football championship game on Monday.

Class 3A: Team effort lifts Del Sol to first state title

Stephanie Tewart tossed two touchdown passes to Janeth Varela to help the Dragons to a 19-6 win over the Bulldogs and the program’s first state title.

Flag Football title games postponed to Monday

The Class 4A and Class 3A state flag football championship games which were scheduled for Thursday and postponed until Friday have again been postponed after the Clark County School District canceled all classes and after-school activities for Friday. The games will be played Monday at Cimarron-Memorial.

Mountain Region: Third time charm for Bonanza against Palo Verde

The Bengals, who’d lost to Palo Verde twice this season, turned the tables on the Panthers in the Mountain Region championship game on Tuesday night. Bonanza got 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Charlene Beck to earn a 20-12 victory at Green Valley.

Desert Region: Gators knock off Coronado to claim championship

Deborah Grant rushed 21 times for 80 yards, and Jazlyn Camacho caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help the Gators edge the Cougars, 13-6 for the Desert Region Championship at Green Valley.
