FLAG FOOTBALL: McArthur, Falcons top Sundevils

Jadyn McArthur threw four touchdown passes and ran for a score Monday to lead Foothill’s flag football team to a 35-13 win at Eldorado.

McArthur completed 19 of 23 passes for 165 yards.

Marissa Brackett caught nine passes for 101 yards and two TDs, and Emily Russell and Renee Ritchie each hauled in a TD pass for the Falcons, who got four interceptions from Ritchie.

Tech 20, Chaparral 12 — At Green Valley, Vanessa Villalobos and Stephanie Rodriguez each ran for a score as the Roadrunners built a 20-0 halftime lead and held off the Cowboys.

Katy Orellano returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown for Tech.

Neshaune Franklin had a 60-yard TD run for Chaparral.

Green Valley 34, Rancho 19 — At Rancho, Jinger Meuir scored three touchdowns to lead the Gators over the Rams.

Meuir had nine catches for 134 yards and a touchdown, and five rushes for 31 yards and two scores.

Adelia Sigala completed 16 of 23 passes for 197 yards and two TDs for the Gators. Sigala also rushed nine times for 71 yards and a touchdown.

Carly Perkins led the Green Valley defense with eight tackles and a sack.

Boulder City 24, Coronado 0 — At Coronado, Jeanne Carmell threw four touchdown passes to lead the Eagles by the Cougars.

Carmell completed 16 of 28 passes for 229 yards and rushed for 69 yards on four carries.

Kenadee Bailey made six catches for 76 yards and two scores, and Kinsey Smyth hauled in seven passes for 108 yards and a TD for Boulder City, which also got a touchdown reception from Paige Buettner.

Centennial 26, Bonanza 13 — At Bonanza, Kiana Sai tossed three touchdown passes as the Bulldogs topped the Bengals.

Sai completed 13 of 22 passes for 187 yards. She threw two TD passes to Aaliyah Wyrick, who had 116 receiving yards. Bridgette Beckett also caught a TD pass, and Angela Franco ran for a score for Centennial.

Brianna Hernandez rushed for 91 yards for Bonanza.

Clark 26, Mojave 13 — At Clark, Karina Figueroa caught two touchdown passes as the Chargers built a 26-6 halftime lead and defeated the Rattlers.

Antoinette Martinez-Tili also caught a touchdown pass, and Chloe Blossom returned an interception for a score for Clark.

Cimarron-Memorial 31, Virgin Valley 14 — At Mesquite, Jaymee Luke passed for two touchdowns and rushed for three more as the Spartans beat the Bulldogs.

Luke completed 16 of 28 passes for 159 yards, and carried the ball 12 times for 198 yards.

Logan DeLong had 11 catches for 124 yards and a touchdown for Cimarron.

Morgan Hemphill led the defense with nine tackles and two sacks. Tiana Callejo intercepted two passes, and Luke had an interception for the Spartans.

Arbor View 67, Western 6 — At Western, Taylor Howie threw for 183 yards and six touchdowns as the Aggies routed the Warriors.

Haley Nibarger caught four touchdown passes for Arbor View, which also got three rushing TDs from Mia D’Arienzo.

Flag Football title games postponed to Monday

The Class 4A and Class 3A state flag football championship games which were scheduled for Thursday and postponed until Friday have again been postponed after the Clark County School District canceled all classes and after-school activities for Friday. The games will be played Monday at Cimarron-Memorial.

Mountain Region: Third time charm for Bonanza against Palo Verde

The Bengals, who’d lost to Palo Verde twice this season, turned the tables on the Panthers in the Mountain Region championship game on Tuesday night. Bonanza got 116 yards rushing and two touchdowns from Charlene Beck to earn a 20-12 victory at Green Valley.

Desert Region: Gators knock off Coronado to claim championship

Deborah Grant rushed 21 times for 80 yards, and Jazlyn Camacho caught the go-ahead touchdown pass in the fourth quarter to help the Gators edge the Cougars, 13-6 for the Desert Region Championship at Green Valley.
