FLAG FOOTBALL: Second-half TD pass lifts Pioneers over Rancho

Adrianna Caldwell-Williams' 5-yard TD pass to Dejona Savoy in the second half broke a 12-12 halftime tie and lifted Canyon Springs' flag football team to a 19-12 victory over visiting Rancho on Thursday.

Caldwell-Williams also threw two TD passes to Destini Cooper in the first half for the Pioneers.

Alyviah Brouchet rushed for 239 yards on 23 carries for Canyon Springs.

Foothill 28, Silverado 12 — At Silverado, Jadyn McArthur accounted for four touchdowns in the Falcons' win over the Skyhawks.

McArthur was 21-for-29 passing for 219 yards and threw two TDs to Sydney Babakitis. McArthur also rushed for 54 yards and two scores on 10 carries.

Paityn Toohey ran for 81 yards, and Emily Russell added seven receptions for 76 yards and scored four extra points for the Falcons.

Centennial 33, Liberty 6 — At Liberty, Ashley Marshall rushed for 78 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries to lead the Bulldogs by the Patriots.

Marshall scored on runs of 15 and 9 yards for Centennial, which also got TD runs from Cienna Mendez and Halli Erickson. Erickson tossed a TD pass to Isabel Barilla for Centennial.

The Bulldogs' Aliyah Wyrick rushed for 103 yards on six carries.

Palo Verde 19, Basic 0 — At Palo Verde, Cydnee Bush had two touchdowns, and Amanda Drake also scored as the Panthers blanked the Wolves.

Green Valley 8, Valley 2 — At Valley, Samantha Loving ran for 24 yards and a touchdown on three carries as the Gators downed the Vikings in a defensive battle.

Athziri Perez recorded a safety for Valley's score.
