The sophomore midfielder scored with a minute to play to lift the Diamondbacks to a 1-0 victory over Palo Verde, which was ranked No. 5 at the time by area coaches.

ADELSON SCHOOL — Boys soccer player Nevo Ziv had three goals in a 4-1 win over Basic.

ARBOR VIEW — Boys cross country runner Ian Jackson was the top Arbor View finisher in the Woodbridge Invitational in Irvine, Calif., placing 18th with a time of 16 minutes, 10.9 seconds for 3.1 miles.

BONANZA — Girls cross country runner Esmeralda Hinojos placed 24th in the D-2 Senior Girls race at the Mt. Carmel Invitational in San Diego with a time of 18 minutes, 22.9 seconds for 2.7 miles. Boys cross country runner Tito Hernandez-Silva was 58th in the D-2 Freshman Boys race at the Mt. Carmel Invitational, with a time of 19:57.2 for 2.95 miles.

BOULDER CITY — Girls volleyball player Alea Lehr had a total of 18 aces in victories over Del Sol and Desert Pines.

CIMARRON-MEMORIAL — Girls soccer player Annalise Esparza had four goals against Durango and two goals against Canyon Springs to lead the Spartans to a pair of wins.

DESERT OASIS — Girls volleyball player Casedy Field had a total of four aces and 19 digs in matches against Las Vegas and Rancho. Boys soccer player Alex Kuklish had three goals in a 5-3 victory over Foothill.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Girls volleyball player Liz Tuls had a total of 20 kills, four blocks and six aces and posted a .405 hitting percentage during the Durango Fall Classic. Football player Cole Thomas had four tackles, an interception and a fumble recovery during a 40-22 victory over Cheyenne.

MOJAVE — Girls cross country runner Jeremiah Callahan placed seventh in a meet at Cheyenne, finishing the 3.1-mile race in 24 minutes, 31 seconds. Boys cross country runner Jadon Davis was the team's No. 5 finisher in a meet at Cheyenne, placing 44th in a time of 23:32 for 3.1 miles.

NEEDLES — Football player Derek Wagstaff rushed for 252 yards and three touchdowns in a 56-0 win over Mountain View.

PALO VERDE — Football palyer Chauntez Thomas had 15 tackles in a 13-7 overtime loss to Silverado. Girls tennis player Annie Walker won both of her singles sets 6-0 in an 18-0 win over Legacy.

RANCHO — Girls soccer player Saipress Jones had three goals in a 6-3 win over Durango.

SIERRA VISTA — Football player Andrew Dunn caught four passes for 108 yards and a touchdown against Mojave. Girls cross country runner Sarriah Brown placed first in an eight-team meet at Hemmenway Park in Boulder City with a time of 22 minutes, 57 seconds for 3.1 miles.
