The senior quarterback/defensive back scored the winning 2-point conversion in a 49-48 overtime win over Sunrise Mountain. Carmell also completed 8 of 12 passes for 180 yards and a TD, rushed for 23 yards and three TDs, intercepted two passes and had three solo tackles.

The senior running back rushed for 317 yards and five touchdowns on 17 carries in a 54-34 victory over Clark.

ARBOR VIEW — Boys cross country runner Tim Myers finished second at the Desert Twilight Invitational in Casa Grande, Ariz., with a time of 16 minutes, 19 seconds for 3.1 miles. Girls cross country runner Maddie Fletcher finished fifth at the Desert Twilight Invitational with a time of 19:41, leading the Aggies to the team title.

BONANZA — Girls golfer Rebecca Oertel shot 5-over-par 77 at Canyon Gate to earn medalist honors in a Northwest League match.

BOULDER CITY — Girls soccer player Lauren Axelson scored the tying goal in a 1-1 draw with Del Sol.

CENTENNIAL — Boys soccer player Austin Brooks scored three goals in a 3-2 victory over Bonanza. Girls soccer player Victoria Cera had a goal and an assist in a 3-0 victory over Bonanza.

DESERT OASIS — Boys soccer player Diego Hidalgo had two goals and an assist to lead the Diamondbacks to their first league victory, 6-0, over Arbor View. Hidalgo holds the school’s single-season assist record. Girls golfer Ashley Malone shot 7-over-par 79 at Canyon Gate to finish second and help the Diamondbacks clinch their first league championship in any girls sport.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Football player Christian Marshall rushed for two touchdowns and had six tackles in a 69-8 win over Western. Girls soccer player Brenna Rohnkohl had a total of four goals and two assists in wins over Cheyenne and Western as the Crusaders moved to 6-0 in the Sunset League.

GREEN VALLEY — Girls golfer Mercedes Khumnark shot 4-over-par 76 at Legacy to tie for medalist honors in a Southeast League match. Football player Carter Nielson, a 315-pound senior, keyed the offensive line as the Gators racked up 325 rushing yards in a 42-32 win over Basic in the Henderson Bowl.

LEGACY — Girls soccer player Emma Singleton had a goal in five assists over three games.

LIBERTY — Girls soccer goalkeeper Rebecca Rodriguez recorded a shutout in a 1-0 over Canyon Springs. It was her third shutout of the season.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Football player Connor LeBoeuf had 121 receiving yards and two TDs and recorded 10 tackles against Agassi Prep. Girls volleyball player Aariel Armstrong had 21 kills and seven aces against Agassi Prep.

PALO VERDE — Boys soccer player Nolan Sherwood had a goal and an assist in a 2-1 victory over Shadow Ridge. Girls volleyball libero Faryn Duncan averaged 17 digs per match in helping the Panthers advance to the championship match of the Falcon Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.

SIERRA VISTA — Football player Javion Hunt had a punt return for a touchdown and intercepted two passes in a 54-34 victory over Clark.

SILVERADO — Boys cross country runner Edward Bueso finished 12th in a meet at Sonata Park, covering the 2.8-mile course in 17 minutes, 13 seconds.

SUNRISE MOUNTAIN — Running back Wanya Calahan rushed for 261 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in a 49-48 overtime loss to Boulder City.
