Paratore, Desert Oasis survive Bengals in extra innings

Dominic Paratore delivered a two-run double, and the Desert Oasis baseball team scored four runs in the top of the 12th inning to outlast host Bonanza 5-2 on Friday in a Southwest League game.

A.J. Landis and Zach Rickard combined on a five-hitter for the Diamondbacks. Landis went eight innings and allowed one run and three hits while striking out three before giving way to Rickard.

Alex Tafesh was 4-for-5 for Desert Oasis.

Robert Higgs hit a solo homer in the bottom of the 12th and also doubled for the Bengals.

Foothill 15, Eldorado 0 — At Eldorado, Nick Cardinale fired a no-hitter as the Falcons downed the Sundevils in five innings.

Cardinale struck out six and walked one.

Jansen Neff was 1-for-1 with a double and four RBIs, and Spencer Throgmorton went 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI for Foothill.

Cimarron-Memorial 7, Centennial 2 — At Cimarron, Niko Decolati was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs to lead the Spartans over the Bulldogs.

Logan Bottrell went 2-for-3 with a double and a run for Cimarron. Gerald Robins scored twice, and Jayson Hicks and Nick Borowski each drove in two runs for the Spartans.

Lance Quaney allowed a run on three hits in five innings to get the win.

Brady Cook went 2-for-3 for Centennial.

Tech 7, Sunrise Mountain 5 — At Tech, Abel Martinez hit a two-run double in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 5-5 tie and help the Roadrunners edge the Miners.

Martinez finished 2-for-4 with two runs and three RBIs. He also went the distance and struck out five batters on the mound to earn the win.

Tech’s Jalen Birch hit a two-out single that scored the game-tying run in the bottom of the fifth.

Austin Ganigan went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run for Sunrise Mountain.

Chaparral 11, Valley 4 — At Valley, Tommy Crone went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and two RBIs to help the Cowboys top the Vikings.

Eduardo Jimenez was 3-for-5 with two RBIs, and Mark Nick O’Connor went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI for Chaparral.

Andre Baughman was 2-for-3 with a run for Valley.

Desert Pines 11, Virgin Valley 2 — At Mesquite, Iquan Corsey was 3-for-4 with a triple, three runs, two RBIs and three steals as the Jaguars topped the Bulldogs.

T.J. Dabrowski tossed a five-hitter and struck out eight for Desert Pines.

Basic 5, Del Sol 1 —
At Del Sol, Josh McLean went 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Wolves over the Dragons.

Anthony Lee finished 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Basic.

Brandon Hubbs and Andrew Natale each hit a double for Del Sol.

Boulder City 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Overton, Bill Barth went 2-for-2 with a double, two runs and two RBIs to lead the Eagles over the Pirates.

Tanner Howell was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and an RBI, and teammate D.J. Koopman was 2-for-4 with a double, a run and an RBI.

Kasen Hughes drove in two runs for Moapa Valley.

Bishop Gorman 18, Calvary Baptist (La.) 1 — At Bishop Gorman, Nick Gates and Cadyn Grenier each hit a grand slam to power the Gaels over the Cavaliers in the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic.

Gates was 3-for-3, and Grenier went 2-for-2 for Gorman. Michael Blasko was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for the Gaels.

Bishop Gorman 8, O’Gorman (S.D.) 2 —
 At Heritage Park, Grenier went 2-for-3 with a triple, a double and two RBIs as the Gaels topped the Knights in the Bishop Gorman Easter Classic.

Austin Cram was 1-for-1 with a triple and an RBI, and Matt Judd went 1-for-3 with a triple and an RBI for the Gaels.

Green Valley 14, Palo Verde 4 —
At Green Valley, Michael Hillcoat was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs, and Jarrett Perns went 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs as the Gators topped the Panthers in six innings.

Keaton Smith was 2-for-3 with a double, and Troy Cropper and Ryan Jackson each went 2-for-3 with an RBI for Green Valley, which scored seven runs in the sixth.

Nolan Erickson was 2-for-3, and Alex Blutman and Brett Bovee each went 2-for-4 for Palo Verde.

The Meadows 20-14, Agassi Prep 1-4 — At Agassi Prep, Connor Cheek had four hits in the opener to help the Mustangs sweep the Stars.

Alec Sparks had three hits, including a home run, in the nightcap for The Meadows.

Lincoln County 10-16, Mountain View 0-6 — At Mountain View, the Lynx outhit the Saints 24-5 on the day to sweep a doubleheader.

Ian Locke had Mountain View’s lone hit in the first game, and teammate Josh Bennett went 2-for-3 in the nightcap.
