ROUNDUP: Dobrolecki’s double downs Coronado in Foothill win

Garrett Dobrolecki’s two-run double in the third inning broke a 2-2 tie, and Foothill held on for a 4-2 road victory over Coronado on Wednesday.

Gabby Soto went the distance, allowing seven hits and striking out 11, to get the win for the Falcons.

Miles Bice and Cody Giordano each doubled for the Cougars.

Durango 5, Northridge (Colo.) 4 — At Durango, Mike Sukeyasu singled home Matt Grisnik with no outs in the bottom of the ninth to give the Trailblazers the win.

Grisnik was 2-for-4 with two runs, and led off the bottom of the ninth with a double. He advanced to third on an error before scoring on Sukeyasu’s single.

Del Sol 10, Liberty 2 — At Del Sol, Justin Chronister tossed a two-hitter to lead the Dragons past the Patriots.

Daniel Doph and David Day each had a double, a single and an RBI, and Joey Baggs and Andrew Curfman each added a double for Del Sol, which used a six-run fifth inning to pull away.

Jeff Coon and Luis Grullon each added two hits for the Dragons.

Green Valley 6, Basic 3 — At Green Valley, Rudy Strnad went 2-for-3 with a double, and Bryan Simpkins added two hits, a run and two stolen bases to help the Gators beat the Wolves.

Green Valley had six stolen bases. Jake DiDonato got the win and David Opperman picked up the save for the Gators.

Silverado 17, Tech 0 — At Silverado, Luc Balestracci tossed a five-inning no-hitter as the Skyhawks blanked the Roadrunners.

Bobby Johnson had a three-run homer in the second inning for Silverado.

Las Vegas 10, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Erick Fedde pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts, and Tanner Chauncey supplied three hits to help the Wildcats cruise past the Cowboys.

Robert Melendrez tripled, and Brig Jensen, Dillon Dove and Jesse Acosta each had a double for Las Vegas.

Jordan January had a single and a double for Chaparral.

Faith Lutheran 10, Boulder City 9 — At Faith Lutheran, Blake Matthias hit two doubles and a one-out sacrifice fly that scored Brett Yee with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh as the Crusaders edged the Eagles.

Nick Beta was 2-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs, and Bobby Burns went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs for Faith Lutheran.

Dylan Henderson belted a solo home run, and Devin Chavez added a double for the Crusaders.

Jack LaMarca registered two hits for Boulder City.

Eldorado 13, Canyon Springs 2 — At Canyon Springs, Alan Guerrero tripled twice, scored three runs and had two RBIs, and Lupe Gonzales went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to help the Sundevils top the Pioneers in six innings.

Eric Larsen went 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs for Eldorado.

Valley 10, Desert Pines 0 — At Valley, David Greenoge pitched a five-inning one-hitter to lead the Vikings in the shutout.

Hansel Escamilla went 2-for-3 with a home run, a double and four RBIs for Valley, and teammate Hector Robles was 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

Jonathan Rodarte doubled for Desert Pines.

Rancho 13, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, P.J. Matha, Zak Qualls and Gabe Chavira combined on a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts as the Rams rolled to the win.

Brandon Pletsch had two doubles and three RBIs, and Roy Sipes, Josh Gomez and Justin Pankratz each had a double and a single for Rancho.

Chavira was 2-for-2 with a triple, a single and an RBI; Eric Holdren went 2-for-2 with two RBIs; and Kevin Kline added a double for the Rams.

Henderson International 9, Calvary Chapel 8 — At Henderson International, Jay Sutorius was 3-for-4 with a double and three runs and Keenan Gladd-Brown went 3-for-4 with two RBIs as the Wolverines held off the Lions.

Winning pitcher Boomer Sherrill went the distance, striking out 11 for Henderson International.

Calvary Chapel’s Steve Shigley went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, and Hunter Rodriguez and Keaton Harris each supplied a double for the Lions.
