ROUNDUP: Dunn nearly perfect as Gorman routs North Salem

Evan Dunn fired a no-hitter to lead Bishop Gorman to a 12-0 win over visiting North Salem (Ore.) on Wednesday.

Dunn, who struck out nine, took a perfect game into the fifth before issuing a one-out walk. He got the next batter to ground into a game-ending double play.

Kenny Meimerstorf was 3-for-4 with a double, a triple and four RBIs for the Gaels.

T.J. White went 2-for-3 with a double and four RBIs, and Johnny Sewald was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs for Gorman.

Eldorado 10, Chaparral 0 — At Eldorado, Eric Larsen threw a five-inning no-hitter as the Sundevils downed the Cowboys.

Larsen struck out eight and walked three. He also went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI.

Johnny Wade was 2-for-2 with two doubles and three RBIs, and Lucio Arreola went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Eldorado.

Sierra Vista 2, North Eugene (Ore.) 1 — At Sierra Vista, Blair Goldsack fired a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks to lead the Mountain Lions past the Highlanders.

Scott Tomassetti singled home Jake Hager in the third inning to give Sierra Vista a 2-1 lead.

Jake Findlay went 2-for-3 for Sierra Vista, including a solo home run in the second.

Arbor View 4, Centennial 1 — At Arbor View, Zach Quintana and Tyler LeBaron combined on a four-hitter as the Aggies topped the Bulldogs.

Quintana started and allowed one unearned run on two hits in four innings.

LeBaron threw three shutout innings with four strikeouts to get the save, and also went 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI at the plate.

Ryan Chen smacked a solo home run for Arbor View.

Silverado 9, Liberty 7 — At Silverado, Trevor Johnson was 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, two runs and two RBIs to help the Skyhawks battle back from a 6-3 deficit and down the Patriots.

Michael Meyers was 2-for-2 with a triple, a run and an RBI, and Wyatt Reid went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and three RBIs for Silverado.

Liberty’s Michael Vargas was 3-for-3 with a grand slam, a double, and two runs.

Foothill 9, Basic 3 — At Basic, Tyler Morris was 4-for-4 with two doubles, a home run and three RBIs to lead the Falcons past the Wolves.

Dakota Wadkins was 2-for-3 for Foothill, which scored four runs in the top of the first.

Nelson Kent went 2-for-3 for Basic.

Rancho 11, Desert Pines 0 — At Rancho, Kevin Kline and Scott Koenen combined on a no-hitter as the Rams won in five innings.

Kline was 2-for-2 with a double, and Eric Holdren went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer for Rancho.

Valley 14, Sunrise Mountain 4 — At Valley, Mitchell Diesko went 3-for-4 with a triple and seven RBIs to help the Vikings cruise past the Miners in five innings.

David Greenoge was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs for Valley.

John Gomez went 2-for-3 for Sunrise Mountain.

Green Valley 8, Del Sol 3 — At Green Valley, Jake DiDonato tossed a four-hitter with 14 strikeouts and two walks to power the Gators past the Dragons.

Evan Van Hoosier went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double for Green Valley, and Alec Hutt doubled twice and drove in three runs.

David Day hit a solo home run in the seventh for Del Sol.

Cimarron-Memorial 8, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, Travis Hendry limited the Desert Shields to one run in six innings with eight strikeouts to pick up the win.

Kevin Dorantes had two runs and two RBIs for the Spartans.

Las Vegas 13, Canyon Springs 1 — At Las Vegas, Tanner Chauncey was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs to help the Wildcats top the Pioneers.

Four Las Vegas pitchers combined on a one-hitter.

Coronado 10, Tech 0 — At Coronado, sophomores Dylan Myers and Kaleb Blyton combined on a one-hitter as the Cougars beat the Roadrunners in five innings.

Myers struck out seven in four innings.

Julian Burrola had a home run and four RBIs, and Steven Pollex finished 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a triple for Coronado.

David Anderson had the lone hit for Tech.

Palo Verde 14, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Dylan Dunseeth went 2-for-2 with a double as the Panthers rolled past the Rattlers in five innings.

Palo Verde used a nine-run fourth-inning to put away the game.

Desert Oasis 8, Highland (Calif.) 2 — At Desert Oasis, Riley Smith tossed a complete game, scattering six hits with six strikeouts and added a triple at the plate to help the Diamondbacks defeat the Bulldogs.

Cody Schmidt went 4-for-4 with three RBIs, and Mike Maiello was 2-for-2 with a double and two RBIs for Desert Oasis, which got doubles from Joe Paratore and Zane Killebrew.

Andrew Jones and Zach Diaz each had two hits for Highland.

Shadow Ridge 13, Boulder City 3 — At Shadow Ridge, Josh Roelofs was 2-for-5 with a pair of home runs and four RBIs to help the Mustangs top the Eagles in six innings.

Troy Williams went 3-for-4 with a home run, a triple and an RBI for Shadow Ridge. Zach Shaver added a home run and three RBIs, and Bruce Butler went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for the Mustangs.

Nick Morelli went 2-for-3 with a double for Boulder City.
