ROUNDUP: Gators slide past Panthers in six

Anthony Uran went 2-for-3 with a double, and Cameron Harper allowed five hits and no walks in six innings Friday as Green Valley bested host Palo Verde, 4-1.

Scott Arn hit a solo home run in the third inning, and Evan Van Hoosier added a two-run homer in the fifth for the Gators.

Billy Bob Ward was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Palo Verde.

Silverado 18, Desert Oasis 17 — At Desert Oasis, Drew Robinson went 3-for-6 with a double, a triple, a home run and two RBIs to help the Skyhawks edge the Diamondbacks.

Brennen Stott went 4-for-5 to lead Desert Oasis, which built a 12-5 second-inning lead before Silverado rallied in the middle innings.

Skyhawks reliever Mike Meyers pitched out of a jam in the bottom of the seventh, stranding the tying run on third base.

Valley 13, Clark 5 — At Clark, Richie Sandoval went 4-for-5 with four RBIs to lead the Vikings past the Chargers.

Eric Herring went 3-for-5 with two RBIs to help Valley, which broke open a close game with eight runs in the sixth inning.

Austin Ballow went 2-for-3 with a double to lead Clark.

Las Vegas 13, Canyon View (Utah) 10 — At St. George, Utah, Tanner Chauncey went 4-for-5 with a triple and three runs scored, and

Las Vegas tallied four runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to outlast Canyon View in the Little Caesar’s Invitational.

Brady Page, Dillon Dove, Robert Melendrez and Andrew Manfra each added a double and a single for the Wildcats.

Las Vegas 8, Snow Canyon (Utah) 6 — At St. George, Utah, Chauncey hit 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, two runs and two RBIs as the Wildcats rallied from a 4-0 first-inning deficit to beat the Warriors in the Little Caesar’s Invitational.

Jesse Acosta had three hits, including a home run, and teammate Brig Jensen also had three hits for Las Vegas.

Rancho 8, Park City (Utah) 4 — At St. George, Utah, Brandon Pletsch hit the go-ahead three-run homer in the third inning to lift the Rams past the Miners in the Little Caesar’s Invitational.

Kevin Kline, Eric Holdren and Josh Gomez each went 2-for-3 for Rancho.

Rancho 16, Sky View (Utah) 0 — At St. George, Utah, Zak Qualls went 2-for-2 with a triple, a double and two RBIs as the Rams whipped the Bobcats.

Gabe Chavira had a three-run home run for Rancho, and teammates Kline, Justin Pankratz and P.J. Matha each added two hits.

Virgin Valley 10-16, Moapa Valley 3-0 — At Overton, Tanner Tichenor went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs in the first game, and the Bulldogs went on to sweep the doubleheader.

Jason Wittwer was 2-for-3 with a double to help Virgin Valley.

In the second game, Wittwer and Daniel Gleave combined for a two-hitter to lift the Bulldogs past the Pirates.

Gleave went 3-for-4 with a double, and Virgin Valley capitalized on Moapa Valley eight errors.

Round Mountain 11-8, Henderson International 6-11 — At Henderson International, Nick Winters had a three-run double in the seventh inning to help the Knights secure a first-game victory and earn a split with the Wolverines.

Kennan Gladd-Brown went 2-for-4 with a third-inning grand slam to lead Henderson International.

In Game 2, Gladd-Brown tied the game with a three-run homer in the sixth and hit a walk-off double in the seventh to lift the Wolverines past the Knights.

Gladd-Brown also earned the victory from the mound after relieving in the sixth. Teammate Charles Pachas went 4-for-5 and scored three runs.

West Wendover 24-16, Mountain View 9-2 — At West Wendover, Xavier Lara went 5-for-5 with two home runs and six RBIs in the opener and tripled in the nightcap as the Wolverines swept the Saints.

Alberto Marin homered in the first game and Avery Arrien in the second for West Wendover.

West Wendover’s Eric Rodriguez pitched a five-inning one-hitter with seven strikeouts in the second game. Korey Wood’s double was the lone hit for the Saints.

Needles 7-11, Lincoln County 3-2 – At Needles, Calif., Bobby Stahel went 5-for-7 with three home runs, two doubles and five RBIs in the doubleheader as Needles swept the Lynx.

Stahel was 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a double in the opener to back the one-hit pitching of Matt McAndrews. McAndrews walked four and struck out 11.

In the nightcap, Stahel went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBIs, and Needles scored seven runs in the sixth inning to put away the game. Nathan Hetrick was 4-for-4 with three RBIs in the second game for the Mustangs.

Tonopah 9-10, Beatty 8-4 — At Tonopah, the Muckers used a five-run fourth inning in the opener and a six-run third inning in the nightcap to sweep a pair of five-inning games from the Hornets.

Reese Jones was 2-for-3 with a double in the opener and 2-for-2 in the nightcap to lead the Muckers. Cody Serfoss added a pair of doubles in the first game for Tonopah.

Isiais Flores and Ivan Maldonado each had two hits and two RBIs for Beatty in the first game. Anthony Regalado was 2-for-3 in both games and had three doubles on the day for the Hornets.
