ROUNDUP: Johnson’s bat powers Cougars past Skyhawks

Chris Johnson went 3-for-3 with a double, a home run and two RBIs to lead Coronado’s baseball team to a 7-2 home win over Silverado on Tuesday.
Kenny Oakley pitched a complete game with five hits and two walks, while striking out five, to get the win.
Marty Sifuentes was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for Silverado.
Liberty 15, Foothill 14 — At Foothill, Manuel Menocal blasted a three-run homer in the sixth inning to lead the Patriots edge the Falcons.
Menocal’s home run highlighted a four-run sixth that gave Liberty a 15-13 lead.
Menocal finished 2-for-5 with two homers and four RBIs, and teammate Danny Topps went 3-for-4 with a double, two triples, a home run, two RBIs and four runs.
Liberty’s Michael Vargas was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and teammate Marcos Rivera hit a three-run home run in the second inning.
Tyler Morris went 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs for Foothill, and teammate Zack Steiber was 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs.
Del Sol 6, Basic 5 — At Basic, David Day and Joey Baggs each had an RBI double in the top of the seventh to help the Dragons slip past the Wolves.
Baggs was 3-for-4 with a double, a homer and three RBIs, and Day went 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBIs.
Dylan Greer was 3-for-4 with a double and scored the tying run in the seventh.
Valley 13, Canyon Springs 3 — At Valley, Alex Tryon tossed a four-hitter while fanning six and was 2-for-2 with a triple and two runs scored as the Vikings topped the Pioneers in five innings.
Juan Deolarte homered, doubled and scored three runs for Valley, which got a double and three RBIs from Juan Tinoco.
Tajh Kehoe had two hits for Canyon Springs.
Eldorado 13, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Eldorado, Lucio Arreola drove in three runs with a double and a home run and tossed four sharp innings, fanning five with one walk, as the Sundevils topped the Miners in five innings.
Nelson Herrera slugged two RBI-doubles, and Chris Brown went 2-for-3 with a triple for Eldorado, which scored 10 runs in the bottom of the first.
Daniel Guardado smacked a two-run home run for Sunrise Mountain.
Las Vegas 10, Desert Pines 0 — At Las Vegas, Tanner Chauncey doubled twice, scored two runs and drove in two runs to back three Wildcats pitchers who combined on a four-hit shutout in a six-inning win over the Jaguars.
Adam Leclere had two hits for Desert Pines.
Rancho 12, Chaparral 1 — At Chaparral, Kevin Kline went 3-for-3 with a home run, a double, three runs and four RBIs to help the Rams cruise past the Cowboys in five innings.
Kline combined with P.J. Matha on a three-hitter. Matha struck out five of the six batters he faced.
Justin Pankratz was 2-for-2 with a home run and two RBIs for Rancho.
Green Valley 13, Tech 0 — At Green Valley, Chad Whiteaker was 2-for-4 with a double, a homer and two RBIs to lead the Gators to a shutout of the Roadrunners in five innings.
Brett Harrison was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Gabe Douglas went 3-for-4 for Green Valley.
James Durbin and Royal Bradley combined on a one-hitter for the Gators.
Moapa Valley 20, Mojave 4 — At Overton, Shane Terril was 4-for-5 with three RBIs to help the Pirates to the five-inning win.
Josh Repp went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI, Sawyer Bulloch was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs, and Conner Mortensen went 2-for-3 with two doubles and three RBIs for Moapa Valley, which scored 11 runs in the third inning.
Tonopah 16-22, Trinity 0-3 — At Tonopah, Emitt Davis went 5-for-6 on the day with a home run, a triple, three doubles and eight RBIs to lead the Muckers to a sweep of the Thunder.
Taylor McLauchlin was a combined 7-for-7 with four doubles and seven RBIs for Tonopah.
Tonopah’s Julian Hirsch and Kalei Elliott combined on a five-inning two-hitter in the first game.
Lincoln County 12, Pahranagat Valley 11 — At Panaca, the Lynx scored two runs in the bottom of the sixth to win a game called for darkness.
