ROUNDUP: Neighbors takes advantage of error to lift Trailblazers
Mike Neighbors scored on a throwing error in the bottom of the seventh inning Monday to lift Durango’s baseball team to a 7-6 victory over visiting Cheyenne Mountain (Colo.).
The Trailblazers got singles from Jacob Dismont and Derrik Corral in the seventh. Neighbors pinch-ran for Dismont and scored the winning run.
Durango’s Bobby Wright went 2-for-3, including a three-run home run in the fourth inning.
Valley 13, Clark 3 — At Valley, Carlos Bueno was 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and two RBIs to lead the Vikings to a five-inning win over the Chargers.
Juan Deolarte went 2-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs for Valley, which scored five runs in the sixth inning to end the game.
Issac Velasquez was 3-for-3 for the Chargers, who had just four hits.
Desert Oasis 13, Western 2 — At Western, Mike Maiello went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and two runs to help the Diamondbacks rout the Warriors in five innings.
Desert Oasis’ Zane Killebrew pitched a four-hitter with eight strikeouts.
Kyle Motis was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Warriors.
Foothill 7, Rock Canyon (Colo.) 3 — At Foothill, the Falcons had 12 hits and used a pair of three-run innings to top Rock Canyon.
Zach Steiber was 3-for-3, and Brandon Van Stone went 2-for-3 for the Falcons.
