ROUNDUP: Skinner’s two homers help Longhorns top Spartans

Pierce Skinner was 3-for-4 with two home runs and three RBIs Thursday as Legacy’s baseball team cruised past host Cimarron-Memorial, 12-2.

Brayden Torres went the distance to get the win, allowing seven hits and striking out 10.

Ashton Leahey was 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs for the Longhorns.

Cody Clark homered for the Spartans.

Shadow Ridge 14, Arbor View 13 — At Shadow Ridge, Brandon Show came on in the seventh inning with two outs and the bases loaded before striking out the final Arbor View batter as the Mustangs held off the Aggies.

Show also went 4-for-4 with a solo home run for Shadow Ridge, which led 14-11 going into the seventh.

Danny Turnbull was 2-for-4 with four RBIs, including a three-run triple that highlighted a five-run fifth inning for Shadow Ridge.

Josh Roelofs also homered for the Mustangs.

P.J. Gonzalez and Brandon LaPointe each had a home run for Arbor View.

Desert Oasis 7, Clark 6 — At Clark, Jossaiah Raval went 3-for-4 with a home run, a sixth-inning go-ahead double and two RBIs to help the Diamondbacks edge the Chargers.

Jordan Compehos was 2-for-3 with two doubles and two RBIs for Desert Oasis, which rallied from a 4-3 second-inning deficit.

Marquis McKinney went 3-for-4 with two RBIs to lead Clark. Mike Quiroz added two doubles for the Chargers.

Sierra Vista 13, Pahrump Valley 3 — At Sierra Vista, Alex Estrella was 3-for-3 with a triple, a home run and three RBIs and also threw a three-hitter to lead the Mountain Lions to the five-inning win.

Billy Santiwan was 3-for-3 and Scott Tomassetti added a double and a solo home run for Sierra Vista.

Conner Klein added a solo home run in the fifth to end the game on the 10-run rule.

Centennial 25, Mojave 4 — At Mojave, Chapman Schmidt had a home run, a double and four RBIs to help the Bulldogs cruise past the Rattlers.

Casey Moses and Michael Mascari each went 2-for-2 with two RBIs for Centennial, which broke away with 15 runs in the second inning.

Cesar Medina was 3-for-3 to lead Mojave.

Bishop Gorman 41, Western 5 — At Western, T.J. White was 6-for-6 with three of Gorman’s 11 home runs, a double and eight RBIs as the Gaels blitzed the Warriors in five innings.

Joey Gallo went 3-for-6 with two homers and four RBIs, and Johnny Sewald was 3-for-4 with two home runs, a double and six RBIs for the Gaels, who scored 12 runs in both the fourth and fifth innings.

Erik Van Meetren went 4-for-7 with a home run, two doubles and three RBIs, and A.J. Van Meetren was 2-for-3 with a homer and five RBIs for Gorman, which also got home runs from Stephen Joseph and Justin Jones.

Faith Lutheran 11, Virgin Valley 4 — At Virgin Valley, J.B. Eary went 2-for-4 with two RBIs as the Crusaders topped the Bulldogs.

Brandon Meyer went 2-for-2 with a double and three runs for Faith Lutheran, which scored seven runs in the fifth to take control.

Daniel Gleave had a double and a triple for Virgin Valley.

Palo Verde 26, Cheyenne 2 — At Cheyenne, Lukas Rodriguez went 4-for-4 with five runs and two RBIs as the Panthers blasted the Desert Shields.

Matt Dyson was 4-for-5 with four runs and two RBIs for Palo Verde, and Jordan Benson went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI.

Louie Lopez hit a two-run homer for Cheyenne.
