ROUNDUP: Van Hoosier perfect at plate as Gators rout Falcons

Evan Van Hoosier was 3-for-3 with a home run and four RBIs to lead Green Valley to a 12-2 home victory over Foothill on Tuesday.

Brett Harrison added a two-run home run, and Cody Milner went 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Green Valley.

Silverado 15, Basic 1 — At Silverado, Mike Meyers went 2-for-4 with a home run, a triple, two runs scored and three RBIs to lead the Skyhawks to a five-inning win over the Wolves.

Nick Kawano went 2-for-3 with two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI for Silverado.

Luc Balestracci tossed a two-hitter for the Skyhawks.

Del Sol 14, Tech 2 — At Tech, David Day went 4-for-5 with three RBIs and three runs scored to lift the Dragons past the Roadrunners.

Andrew Curfman was 3-for-4 with a triple for Del Sol.

Karl Myrvold smacked a home run for Tech.

Chaparral 12, Sunrise Mountain 1 — At Sunrise Mountain, Jordan January went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and tossed a five-inning two-hitter with seven strikeouts as the Cowboys blitzed the Miners.

Ciros Burdier was 2-for-3 with two RBIs for Chaparral.

Rancho 17, Valley 0 — At Valley, Brandon Pletsch went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double and four RBIs as the Rams cruised to a five-inning win over the Vikings.

Eric Holdren added a pair of doubles for Rancho, which scored 10 runs in the third inning.

Holdren and P.J. Matha came within one out of a combined no-hitter before Valley collected its lone hit.

Desert Pines 20, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, Juan Cruz threw a two-hitter with 10 strikeouts to lead the Jaguars to the easy five-inning win.

Amador Rivera was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, two runs scored and four RBIs, and Camilo Murillo went 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs for Desert Pines.

Roberto Hernandez was 2-for-5 with a homer, three runs and two RBIs, and Cody Tolliver went 2-for-3 with two runs and three RBIs for the Jaguars.

Las Vegas 17, Eldorado 3 — At Eldorado, Tanner  Chauncey went 3-for-4 with a double and three RBIs to help the Wildcats top the Sundevils in six innings.

Xavier Palmer was 2-for-2 with two RBIs, and Jesse Acosta and Brady Page each added two hits for Las Vegas.

Nelson Herrera and Isaiah Hernandez each had two hits for Eldorado.

Downers Grove (Ill.) South 3, Bishop Gorman 1 — At Phoenix, South scored twice in the bottom of the sixth inning to break a 1-1 tie and held on to top the Gaels in the Big League Dugout Invitational.

Joey Gallo went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored the Gaels’ lone run.

Erik Van Meetren was 1-for-3 with an RBI for Gorman.

Faith Lutheran 11, Bonanza 1 — At Faith Lutheran, J.B. Eary went 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs as the Crusaders blitzed the Bengals in five innings.

Sean McCart tossed a three-hitter for the Crusaders.

Mountain View 8-6, Pahranagat Valley 4-8 — At Alamo, the Saints rallied for five runs in the top of the fifth in the first game to earn a split with the Panthers in a pair of five-inning games.

Trevor Van Kempen’s RBI single tied the game at 4-4, and the go-ahead run scored on a bases-loaded walk. T.J. Engel added a two-run single in the inning to extend the lead.

Logan Christie went the distance, and retired the final seven batters, to earn the win.

In the second game, Kale Leavitt had two hits, a run and two RBIs to lead Pahranagat Valley.

Tyson Sparrow added two hits for the Panthers.

Alex Capozzoli had two hits and a run for Mountain View.

The Meadows 10-18, Beatty 4-5 — At Beatty, Garrett Gosse was 3-for-4 with a triple, a double and four RBIs in the first game to highlight the Mustangs’ sweep of the Hornets.

Bobby Pisanelli was 4-for-4 in the second game for The Meadows, which scored 10 runs in the first inning.

Jose Moreno went a combined 4-for-6 with four RBIs in both games to lead Beatty.

Indian Springs 17, Lake Mead 0 — At Indian Springs, Adam Reinke was 3-for-3 with two doubles and four RBIs as the Thunderbirds blanked the Eagles.

Sandy Valley 7-16, Spring Mountain 5-0 — At Sandy Valley, Randall Spencer went a combined 6-for-8 with four RBIs to lead the Sidewinders to a sweep of the Eagles.

Sandy Valley’s Patrick Hudson struck out six in four innings to earn the win in the second game.

River Valley (Ariz.) 8-5, Laughlin 3-9 — At Mohave Valley, Ariz., Cameron Kruse tossed a six-hitter in the nightcap to help the Cougars salvage a split with the Dust Devils.
