BOYS BASKETBALL: Traylor, Bulldogs top Northwood

Darrian Traylor led four scorers in double figures with 16 points Saturday as Centennial’s boys basketball team topped Northwood (Calif.) 67-51 in the Estancia/Tustin Classic in Tustin, Calif.

Troy Brown had 14 points, and Isaiah Banks scored 13 for Centennial.

Roy Sparks added 10 points for the Bulldogs, who led 32-30 at halftime.

Jake Linsky led Northwood with 18 points, and teammate Cameron Miles scored 15.

Bishop Gorman 84, Socastee (S.C.) 39 — At Myrtle Beach, S.C., Chase Jeter had a game-high 16 points as the Gaels routed the Braves in the Beach Ball Classic.

Ugo Amadi had 14 points, and Charles O’Bannon scored 11 for Gorman, which also got six points, eight assists and five steals from Richie Thornton.

Stephen Zimmerman added six points, 12 rebounds and five assists for the Gaels, who led 42-11 at halftime.

Nijaye Foster scored 15 to lead Socastee.

Green Valley 83, Redmond (Wash.) 72 — At Palm Springs, Calif., Romello Jones had 21 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots to power the Gators past the Mustangs in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Kelvin Omojola added 18 points, five rebounds, seven assists and four steals for Green Valley.

Isiah Macklin notched 15 points and seven boards for the Gators, who trailed 41-40 at halftime.

Foothill 57, Riverside (Calif.) 33 — At Palm Springs, Calif., Jontee Thomas led all scorers with 13 points to help the Falcons top the Bears in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Colin Curi and Torrance Littles each scored nine points for Foothill, which led 23-12 at halftime.

J.D. Builteman led Riverside with eight points.

Sierra Vista 56, Xavier Prep (Calif.) 16 — At Palm Springs, Calif., the Mountain Lions took a 37-6 halftime lead before downing the Saints in the Maxpreps Holiday Classic.

Alta Loma (Calif.) 79, Del Sol 78 — At La Puente, Calif., JonRoss Juhas had 18 points and 10 rebounds but the Dragons fell short to the Braves in the Nogales Christmas Classic.

Brian Greer had 21 points, and Noah Spearman scored 18 for Del Sol, which also got 11 points from Rashaun Lawson.

The Dragons trailed 42-41 at halftime and shot just 19-for-32 from the free-throw line.

Elsinore (Calif.) 79, Boulder City 36 — At Menifee, Calif., Preston Beverly had 28 points to lead Tigers by the Eagles in the Paloma Valley Winter Shootout.

Trevon Lampkin and Kobe Williams each scored 16 for Elsinore, which made 10 3-pointers and led 21-4 after the first quarter.

Peyton Koopman led Boulder City with eight points.

Gilbert (Ariz.) 65, Canyon Springs 47 — At Mesa, Ariz., the Tigers connected on 10 3-pointers to rout the Pioneers in the VistaMesa.com Challenge.

Kajuan Casey had 12 points, and Jordan Davis scored 10 for Canyon Springs, which trailed 37-20 at halftime.

Legacy 61, Malibu (Calif.) 50 — At Studio City, Calif., Shakir Arrey scored 31 points to lead the Longhorns by the Sharks in the #D1Bound Southern California Christmas Classic.
