ROUNDUP: Brewer’s late bucket leads Cimarron boys past Shadow Ridge

Erik Brewer’s three-point play with four seconds remaining Monday lifted Cimarron-Memorial’s boys basketball team to a 55-52 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.

Brewer finished with 24 points, including a 3-pointer that tied the game just prior to his winning shot.

Marques Barnes added 18 points, and Mussie Gebremeskel dished out nine assists for the Spartans.

Nick Flowers paced the Mustangs with 18 points. David Everage added 17 points, and Zach Ducksworth scored 10 for Shadow Ridge.

Mojave 64, Cheyenne 62 — At Mojave, Andrew Lott had 20 points, 11 rebounds and four assists to help the Rattlers nip the Desert Shields.

Quintarus Harper added 21 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals for Mojave, which led 43-33 entering the fourth quarter.

Mojave made 5 of 6 free throws in the fourth quarter to hold on to the lead.

Jaquon Coleman led Cheyenne with 15 points. Khalid Banks added 12 points for the Desert Shields.

Palo Verde 76, Faith Lutheran 60 — At Palo Verde, Eris Winder and Nahjee Matlock each scored 17 points as the Panthers pulled away from the Mustangs.

Jordyn Martin added 14 points for Faith Lutheran, which used a 23-12 third-quarter run to put the game away.

Brett Lubbe led the Crusaders with 15 points, and James Hammer and D’Khari Hicks each added 10 points for Faith Lutheran.

Centennial 71, Legacy 57 — At Legacy, Evan Martin and Aaseem Dixon each scored 22 points, and the Bulldogs used a 21-9 third-quarter run to rally past the Longhorns.

Justin Jones added 13 points for Centennial, which trailed 36-29 at the half.

Zach Lane led the Longhorns with 16 points, and teammate Jamal Peterson scored 11.

Sierra Vista 98, Bonanza 73 — At Bonanza, Maiscei Grier scored 31 points, and Viko Noma’aea added 30 points as the Mountain Lions sprung out to leads of 54-42 at the half and 83-61 after three quarters on their way to a win over the Bengals.

Gary Jacobs added 15 points for Sierra Vista.

Teyshawn Campbell had 25 points and five assists, and Dejaun Harris scored 10 for Bonanza.

Western 71, Clark 50 — At Western, the Warriors ran out to a 34-18 half-time lead and cruised to the victory over the Chargers.

Kentrell Washington led a balanced Western attack with 15 points. Kenyon Washington added 12 points and six rebounds, and Sir Washington had eight points and 10 rebounds.

Landon White supplied seven points and 11 rebounds for the Warriors, who held Clark to nine third-quarter points.

Clark’s Deander Henderson scored a game-high 21 points. Brian McGriff added 12 points for the Chargers.

Spring Valley 68, Pahrump Valley 43 — At Spring Valley, Tyler Jones had 16 points as the Grizzlies beat the Trojans.

Deshaun Nowlin scored 13 and Gary Payton added 12 for Spring Valley.

Bret Kunzi led Pahrump with 12 points, and teammate James Munger scored 10.

Bishop Gorman 86, Desert Oasis 56 — At Gorman, Shabazz Muhammad had 28 points and nine rebounds to help the Gaels cruise past the Diamondbacks.

Rosco Allen scored 22 points, and Ben Carter added 10 points and seven assists for Gorman, which grabbed a 23-9 first-quarter lead.

Cameron Mich’l led the Diamondbacks with 21 points, and teammate Anthony Lianzo scored 13.

Boulder City 57, Silverado 56 — At Boulder City, Trevor Montgomery knocked down two free throws with seven seconds remaining to give the Eagles the win over the Skyhawks.

Michael Hernandez scored eight of his 15 points in the fourth quarter as Boulder City outraced Silverado 24-16 to claim the victory.

Nate Hafen added 14 points, and Michael Walker scored nine for the Eagles.

Justin Johnson led three Silverado players in double-figures with 12 points. David Ware had 11 and Ruben Jackson supplied 10 for the Skyhawks.

Eldorado 71, Moapa Valley 52 — At Overton, Curtis Stewart scored 12 points to lead three Sundevils in double figures and defeat the Pirates.

Demetrius Crawford had 11 points and DaQuon Thrower supplied 10 points for Eldorado.

Hayden Cooper led Moapa Valley with 20 points and 11 rebounds. Josh Thompson scored 17 for the Pirates.

Needles 77, River Valley (Ariz.) 36 — At River Valley, Ariz., Aaron Burns scored 17 points to help the Mustangs rout the Dust Devils.

Andrew Mathews and Ryan Andrews each scored 12 points for Needles, and teammates Daric Courtwright and John Ochoa each added 10 points.

Baker (Calif.) 43, Sandy Valley 41 — At Sandy Valley, the Sidewinders’ rally fell short after after entering the fourth quarter down 32-26.

Nathan Plaza had 19 points and Brandon Hughes scored 11 for Sandy Valley.
