ROUNDUP: Centennial boys beat Arbor View, complete Northwest playoff field

Centennial used a 26-12 spurt in the third quarter to take control in an 81-57 home victory over Arbor View in boys basketball Thursday.

The win earned the Bulldogs the Northwest League’s final playoff spot as they edged Legacy on a tiebreaker.

Ben Vozzola scored 25 points to lead Centennial. Drew Staker had 16 and Anil Kundanani 11.

Maiscei Grier led Arbor View with 15 points, and Pierson Heath added 12.

Cimarron-Memorial 75, Shadow Ridge 62 —
At Shadow Ridge, Kevin Olekaibe scored 12 of his 31 points during the third quarter as the Spartans defeated the Mustangs.

Dale Puckett added 20 points and Brayden Quackenbush 15 for Cimarron.

Zach Hafen led Shadow Ridge with 22 points. Joseph Pearson added 19 and Don Lewis 17 with 12 rebounds.

Coronado 71, Basic 64 — At Basic, Charlie Wakefield poured in 28 points, and the Cougars outscored the Wolves 23-14 in the third quarter to open a 12-point lead.

Austin Nelson added 12 points and Brett Hoisington 10 for Coronado.

James Holmes led Basic with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Vince Carducci added 12 points and Tyler Dobbins 11.

Foothill 87, Del Sol 71 — At Del Sol, Evan Roquemore scored 20 points to help the Falcons knock off the Dragons.

Gage Huff had 16 points and Cody Gomez 11 for Foothill, which outscored Del Sol 22-12 in the second quarter.

Jeff Coon led Del Sol with 16 points, and Durrell McDonald and Anthony Martinez each scored 15.

Silverado 69, Green Valley 55 —
At Green Valley, James Lata and Mike Wadsworth scored 16 points each to lead the Skyhawks past the Gators.

Ali Sabra added 14 points for Silverado.

Bill Tuttle had 15 points and Julian Franklin 10 for Green Valley

Liberty 74, Tech 62 — At Tech, Milos Knezevic scored 27 points to carry the Patriots past the Roadrunners.

Cameron Peters added 13 points for Liberty.

Tech’s Brandon Tiffany had 14 points, 11 assists and 10 rebounds. Cornelious Coleman added 12 points and 10 boards, and Michael Johnson scored 10.

Findlay Prep 88, Bishop Gorman 63 —
At Gorman, Victor Rudd scored 22 points and Avery Bradley 21 to guide the Pilots past the Gaels.

D.J. Richardson added 19 points and Cory Joseph 12 for Findlay.

Shabazz Muhammad paced Gorman with 21 points. Kylel Coleman added 14 points and Johnathan Loyd 10.

Needles 83, Mountain View 52 —
At Needles, Calif., Stevie Kidd scored 21 of his 27 points in the first half, helping the Mustangs take a 52-24 halftime lead over the Saints.

Kidd also had seven rebounds and seven assists.

Darra Russell added 20 points, 11 rebounds and six assists for Needles. Anthony Ramos had 11 points and 10 rebounds, and Michael Hills had 10 assists.

Raymond Velarde led Mountain View with 12 points, and Justyn Anderson had 11.

Green Valley Christian 51, Sandy Valley 21 — At Tarkanian Middle School, Green Valley Christian jumped out to a 26-8 halftime advantage and cruised to the win.

Dario Ortega had 10 points for Sandy Valley.
