ROUNDUP: Della Valle perfect from arc as Pilots rout Sundevils

Amedeo Della Valle went 5-for-5 on 3-pointers to finish with 18 points Thursday and lead Findlay Prep’s boys basketball team to a 103-47 home win over Eldorado.

Nigel Williams-Goss scored 18 points, and Dominic Artis had 17 points, five assists and four steals for the Pilots (7-0).

Matt Willms supplied 13 points and three blocks for Findlay Prep, which led 31-13 after one quarter and 54-24 at the half.

Brandon Ashley added 11 points, and Nick Marday scored 10 for the Pilots, who got 11 assists from Winston Shepard and 11 rebounds from Benas Griciunas.

D.J. Billingsley paced the Sundevils (3-1) with 17 points, and teammate Markeith Floyd scored 16.

Desert Pines 66, Liberty 51 — At Liberty, Julian Jacobs had 17 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the Jaguars past the Patriots.

Nahjee McIver scored 18 points, Thomas Hooper tallied 13 points, and Donavin Wright added 10 points for Desert Pines.

Elijah Graves paced Liberty with 14 points, and teammates Rhandy Tomlinson and LaQuon Hawkins each scored 10.

Palo Verde 76, Canyon Springs 60 — At Palo Verde, Eris Winder scored 14 points, and teammates Michael Buchanan and Nahjee Mattlock each supplied 13 points as the Panthers downed the Pioneers.

Darryl Gaynor and Jordyn Martin had 10 points apiece for Palo Verde.

Gerad Davis led Canyon Springs with 21 points, and Shaquille Carr added 14 points.

Coronado 66, Valley 52 — At Coronado, Teyshawn Campbell had 26 points, five assists and four steals as the Cougars rolled the Vikings.

Michael Louder scored 19 points for Coronado, and teammate Lamar Walker had seven points, 11 rebounds and eight blocked shots.

Chris Swanson paced Valley with 11 points, and Keanu Peters added 10 points for the Vikings.

Durango 70, Cherry Creek (Colo.) 61 — At Durango, Tre’Vonn Wells scored 17 points, and Dartangan Rollins had 16 points and 11 rebounds as the Trailblazers downed the Bruins.

Joe Tuss scored 14 points, and Tyler Jones added 10 points for Durango.

Centennial 84, Caleixco (Calif.) 12 — At Yuma, Ariz., Marcus Allen had 16 points as the Bulldogs rolled to the win in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Cody Wilkes and Evan Martin each added 11 points for Centennial, which led 35-4 after one quarter and 62-7 at the half.

Arbor View 78, San Luis (Ariz.) 26 — At Yuma, Ariz., Justin Burks scored 22 points, and Blake Claxton had 14 points as the Aggies routed San Luis in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Navonte Hill posted 11 points for Arbor View.

Faith Lutheran 48, Carson 45 — At Minden, D’Khari Hicks hit four 3-pointers in the first half, and helped the Crusaders hang on for a win over the Senators in the Carson Valley Classic.

Basic 75, Virgin Valley 62 — At Basic, Aaron Heidelmon had 13 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks as the Wolves outlasted the Bulldogs in a game that featured 81 free-throw attempts.

Jalen Rose scored 17 points for Basic. Isaiah Villaros added 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Chandler Kamai had 10 points and six assists for the Wolves.

Humberto Urias led the Bulldogs with 24 points. Tyson Teerlink scored 15 points for Virgin Valley.

Silverado 78, Moapa Valley 44 — At Overton, David Ware scored 26 points to help the Skyhawks cruise past the Pirates.

Ruben Jackson and Frank Washko each contributed 15 points for Silverado.

Sean McConnell scored 13 points, and Jackson Mortensen scored 10 to lead Moapa Valley.

Boulder City 63, Lowry 48 — At Boulder City, Nate Hafen had 16 points, and the Eagles held the Buckaroos to four fourth-quarter points en route to the win.

Michael Walker added 12 points, and Ryan McQuillan scored 11 for Boulder City.

Jesse Studebaker led Lowry with 18 points.

Gilbert Christian (Ariz.) 87, Lake Mead 38 — At Gilbert, Ariz., the Eagles committed 30 turnovers and fell to the host school in the Christian Cup.

Justin Yamzon led Lake Mead with 14 points.

Lake Havasu (Ariz.) 51, Mountain View 21 — At Yuma, Ariz., Brandon Weskahi scored 15 points to lead the Knights by the Saints in the Southwest Rotary Classic.

Matt Larson scored 11 points for Mountain View, which trailed 25-3 after the first quarter.

Oasis Christian 53, Mountain View JV 43 — At Mountain View, Brandon Chamblee and Christian Gonzalez each had 14 points to lead the Bulldogs past the Saints’ junior varsity.

Word of Life 38, Trinity 37 — At Mirabelli Community Center, Emeka Okafor scored 18 points, including the game-winning layup in the final 10 seconds, to lead the Eagles past the Thunder.

Kien Nyguen paced Trinity with 18 points.
