ROUNDUP: Nolan scores 20 as Spring Valley boys upset Western

Shannon Nolan scored 20 points to help Spring Valley’s boys basketball team hold off visiting Western for a 67-62 upset win Wednesday.

DeShaun Nowlin added 15 points for the Grizzlies, and freshman Sean Clancey scored 10 for Spring Valley, which led 27-11 after the first quarter.

Gary Payton supplied six points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who hit five 3-pointers in the first quarter.

Kentrell Washington and Sir Washington each scored 16 points to pace Western. Aaron Buckley added 14 points for the Warriors, and teammate Kenyon Washington scored 10.

Palo Verde 68, Legacy 60 — At Legacy, Eris Winder scored 13 of his 25 points in the fourth quarter to help the Panthers rally past the Longhorns.

Kyler William added 13 points, and Jordyn Martin scored 10 for Palo Verde, which trailed 32-26 at the half.

Zach Lane led Legacy with 29 points.

Centennial 69, Cheyenne 55 — At Cheyenne, Aaseem Dixon led a balanced attack with 14 points to help the Bulldogs down the Desert Shields.

Ryan Vozzola added 13 points, and Malcolm Allen scored 11 points for Centennial, which made 24 of 32 free throws. Cheyenne was 3-for-9 from the line.

Khalid Banks paced the Desert Shields with 29 points.

Durango 88, Bonanza 81 — At Durango, Greg Gentry had 24 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists to help the Trailblazers top the Bengals.

Cameron Stemley supplied 17 points and 15 rebounds, and Tre’Von Wells contributed 12 points and six assists for Durango. Joel Feigler added 12 points for the Trailblazers, who led 49-26 at the half.

Matt Figgins scored 28 points, and hit seven of Bonanza’s 11 3-pointers. Teshaun Campbell added 24 points for the Bengals.

Faith Lutheran 70, Arbor View 49 — At Faith Lutheran, Brett Lubbe scored 14 points to lead the Crusaders to an easy win over the Aggies.

James Hammer and Don Pearson each scored 12 points for Faith Lutheran.

DeAndrea Johnson scored 12 points to lead Arbor View, which got 11 points from DeAndre Bright and 10 points from Chase Ealy.

Mojave 55, Shadow Ridge 38 — At Shadow Ridge, Andrew Lotts had 29 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Rattlers past the Mustangs.

David Everage scored 17 points for Shadow Ridge.

Desert Oasis 78, Pahrump Valley 43 — At Desert Oasis, Cameron Mich’l had 38 points and eight rebounds to help the Diamondbacks rout the Trojans.

Anthony Lianzo scored 14 points for Desert Oasis.

Josh Schulz led Pahrump with 11 points, and Andrew White scored 10 for the Trojans.

Bishop Gorman 71, Clark 38 — At Bishop Gorman, Shabazz Muhammed scored 18 points to lead the Gaels in a rout of the Chargers.

Rosco Allen added 14 points for Gorman, which made eight 3-pointers.

DeAndre Henderson led Clark with 14 points.

Sierra Vista 73, Boulder City 46 — At Boulder City, Maiscei Grier scored 22 points, and the Mountain Lions used a 19-4 second-quarter run to pull away from the Eagles.

Viko Noma’aea and Donovan Williams each added 11 points for Sierra Vista.

Nate Hafen led Boulder City with seven points.
