ROUNDUP: Nolan’s 3-pointer the difference as Spring Valley boys edge Durango

Shannon Nolan hit a 3-pointer from the corner with five seconds left Monday to lift Spring Valley’s boys basketball team to a 72-70 road win over Durango.

Gary Payton and Sean Clancey each had 14 points to lead Spring Valley, which led 39-27 at the half.

Deshaun Nowlin and Justin Profit each added 11 points, and Nolan scored 10 for the Grizzlies.

Greg Gentry had 24 points and 10 rebounds to pace Durango. Cameron Stemley added 15 points and Tre’Von Wells 11 for the Trailblazers.

Arbor View 82, Legacy 78 — At Legacy, Zach Hammon had 23 points, and the Aggies scored 19 points in overtime to outlast Legacy.

Legacy led 47-46 after the third quarter, but Arbor View fought back by converting free throws with 20 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter to tie the game.

Will Martin added 13 points for the Aggies.

Zach Gray fueled the Longhorns with 23 points. Brandon Galindo supplied 18 points and Chris Cook 11 for Legacy.

Coronado 61, Green Valley 60 — At Green Valley, Jared Culbert tallied 20 points, and the Cougars survived a second-half rally by the Gators.

Austin Nelson added 14 points for Coronado, which led 40-30 at the half.

The Cougars led 60-58, but were able to wrap up a loose ball. After the Gators were whistled for a foul while attempting to get a jump ball, Coronado made 1 of 2 free throws.

Green Valley then made a basket with five seconds remaining, and Coronado let time expire without having to inbound the ball.

Keiannte Wilkins led Green Valley with 28 points. Earl Thompson added 10 points and 18 rebounds, and Brandon Hoisington had eight points and 11 rebounds for the Gators.

Palo Verde 93, Cimarron-Memorial 79 — At Cimarron-Memorial, the Panther had five players score in double digits in cruising past the Spartans.

Nahjee Matlock scored 25 points to lead Palo Verde. Jordyn Martin added 13 points, Eris Winder had 11, and Bronston Abad and Mitchell Scott each scored 10 for the Panthers.

Cimarron’s Erik Brewer provided 31 points and eight rebounds, and Marques Barnes contributed 23 points for the Spartans.

Bishop Gorman 98, Western 78 — At Western, Rosco Allen hit four 3-pointers in the first quarter to help the Gaels take a 35-17 lead en route to the easy win.

Shabazz Muhammad led the Gaels with 21 points, and Allen finished with 20.

Ben Carter had 17 points and Rashad Muhammad 12 for Gorman, which led 57-31 at the half.

Western’s Kentrell Washington led all scorers with 25 points. Ryan Johnson added 12 points, and Sir Washington scored 10 for the Warriors.

Del Sol 61, Silverado 55 — At Silverado, James Johnson scored 20  points and the Dragons held off the Skyhawks.

David Day added 17 points for Del Sol, which led 20-7 after one quarter.

David Ware had 21 points for Silverado, which took a one-point lead with a minute to play but couldn’t hold on. Jonathan Aman added 14 points for the Skyhawks.

Desert Oasis 55, Clark 47 — At Clark, Cameron Mich’l scored 31 points to power the Diamondbacks past the Chargers.

Brian McGriff led Clark with 16 points, and teammate D’Andre Henderson scored 10.

Cheyenne 54, Faith Lutheran 44 — At Cheyenne, Gary Stewart had 12 points, nine rebounds and two steals to help the Desert Shields defeat the Crusaders.

Khalid Bank added 12 points, three assists, four rebounds and two steals for Cheyenne.

Brett Lubbe led Faith Lutheran with 17 points, and teammate James Hammer added 12 points.

Foothill 66, Tech 38 — At Tech, Brannon Cresanto had 16 points, and the Falcons scored 30 points in the fourth quarter in a rout of the Roadrunners.
Greg Cox added 10 points.

Michael Johnson scored 21 points for Tech, which cut the deficit to 36-29 after three quarters.

Manny Gonzalez added 10 points for the Roadrunners.

Basic 62, Liberty 43 — At Liberty, Vince Carducci had 14 points as the Wolves defeated the Patriots.

Jaylen Rose added 12 points, Kyle Taitano scored 11, and Jaylene Brown 10 for Basic.

Randy Tomlinson led Liberty with 17 points.

Sierra Vista 73, Pahrump Valley 46 — At Sierra Vista, Viko Noma’aea scored 16 as the Mountain Lions rolled past the Trojans.

Dallin Molina had 12 points and 11 rebounds for Sierra Vista, which got 11 points from Dylan Patton.

Josh Schulz led Pahrump with 15 points.

Mojave 73, Boulder City 58 — At Mojave, the Rattlers built a 40-32 half time lead and cruised to a victory over the Eagles.

Andrew Lotts had 24 points, three rebounds, four steals, three assists and two blocked shots to lead Mojave.

Nate Hafen led Boulder City with 25 points.

Moapa Valley 68, Bonanza 47 — At Overton, Kelan Weiss had 11 points and nine rebounds, and the Pirates held the Bengals to two second-half field goals on the way to the win.

Hayden Cooper added 10 points and 10 rebounds for Moapa Valley, which used an 18-3 third-quarter run to take control.

Matt Figgins paced Bonanza with 16 points, and teammate Teyshawn Campbell scored 10.
