ROUNDUP: Odabi’s presence on offense, defense to lead Sierra Vista boys to win

Justice Odabi led five double-figure scorers with 16 points and contributed five steals Thursday to lead Sierra Vista’s boys basketball team to a 77-69 home win over Spring Valley.

Donovan Williams and Viko Noma’aea each added 14 points, Maiscei Grier scored 11, and Xavier Rogers had 10 points for the Mountain Lions, who preserved the win by making 10 of 12 free throws in the fourth quarter.

Shannon Nolan hit five 3-pointers en route to 17 points for Spring Valley. Deshaun Nowlin added 14 points for the Grizzles.

Bonanza 73, Clark 68 — At Bonanza, Matt Figgins had 25 points to help the Bengals nip the Chargers.

Teyshawn Campbell added 16 points and eight assists for Bonanza, which forced 22 turnovers.

Brian McGriff scored 23 points to lead Clark, which got 13 points from Tyler Wyatts.

Bishop Gorman 95, Pahrump Valley 39 — At Pahrump, Rosco Allen scored 16 points to help the Gaels rout the Trojans.

Demetris Morant added 14 points, seven rebounds and seven blocked shots to help Gorman, and teammate Nick Gianakoulias had seven points and seven assists.

Dajhan Celius scored 10 points to lead Pahrump.

Desert Oasis 57, Durango 54 — At Durango, Cameron Mich’l scored 19 points, and the Diamondbacks made just enough free throws in the fourth quarter to hold off the Trailblazers.

Anthony Lianzo and Zach Bobenhausen each added 12 points for Desert Oasis, which was 17 of 37 from the free-throw line.

Tre’Von Wells led Durango with 18 points. Greg Gentry added 17 points, and Antonyo Robinson scored 10 for the Trailblazers.

Cheyenne 84, Arbor View 63 — At Arbor View, Khalid Banks poured in 22 points, and the Desert Shields used a 27-11 third-quarter run to build a 65-35 lead and cruise past the Aggies.

Gary Stewart added 14 points, and Ivan Harper scored 10 for Cheyenne, which had 13 players with at least two points.

DeAndrea Johnson paced Arbor View with 16 points. Brandon Hill scored 12, and Blake Claxton and Chase Ealy each supplied 10 points for the Aggies.

Palo Verde 84, Shadow Ridge 49 — At Shadow Ridge, Jordyn Martin led a balanced attack with 14 points as the Panthers routed the Mustangs.

Nahjee Matlock added 12 points, and Eris Winder and Will McCosker each had 10 points for Palo Verde.

David Everage paced Shadow Ridge with 10 points.

Faith Lutheran 63, Mojave 47 — At Mojave, Brett Lubbe scored 15 points to help lift the Crusaders past the Rattlers.

Andrew Lott scored 22 points to lead Mojave, which never recovered from a 20-6 deficit.

Legacy 61, Moapa Valley 60 — At Legacy, Brandon Galindo sank two free throws with 16 seconds remaining to lift the Longhorns past the Pirates.

Galindo’s shots gave Legacy a 61-60 lead. Moapa Valley called a timeout with six seconds left, but only managed an off-target 3-point attempt at the buzzer.

Zach Lane led Legacy with 19 points.

Josh Thompson scored 22 points for Moapa Valley. Hayden Cooper added 13 points, and Kelan Weiss scored 10 for the Pirates.
