ROUNDUP: Trojans defend well down stretch, top Boulder City

Alex Anderson scored 20 points Friday, and visiting Pahrump Valley’s boys basketball team held Boulder City to five fourth-quarter points en route to a 48-43 victory over the Eagles.

David Smith added 12 points for Pahrump, which trailed 38-35 entering the fourth quarter.

Kyle Dimpel paced the Eagles with 17 points.

Centennial 73, Cedar (Utah) 46 — At Centennial, the Bulldogs outscored the Redmen 24-9 in the third quarter and cruised to victory.

Ben Vozzola scored 13 points and Redell Moore added 10 points as 13 different players scored for Centennial.

Brandon Garrett scored a game-high 20 points, and Erik Nakken had 11 points for Cedar. 

Shadow Ridge 72, Sunrise Mountain 62 — At Sunrise Mountain, Josh Youngblood scored 16 points and Ronnie Thomas had 14 points to lead the Mustangs past the Miners.

Joe Pearson scored 13 points and Zach Hafen added 10 points for Shadow Ridge.

Matthew Marshall scored a game-high 34 points to lead Sunrise Mountain. 

Mountain View 67, Pahranagat Valley 58 — At Alamo, Justyn Anderson and Cortland LeBoeuf each scored 19 points to help Mountain View down the Panthers.

Trevor Van Kempen added 17 points for the Saints. Van Kempen and LeBoeuf each drained three 3-pointers.

Cody Hosier sank five 3-pointers and finished with 34 points to lead Pahranagat Valley.

 

Needles 63, South Pointe (Ariz.) 57 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Anthony Ramos scored 17 points to lead the Mustangs to to the win at the Lake Havasu Holiday Classic.

 

Michael Hills added 14 points and Daric Courtwright nine points and 11 rebounds for Needles.

 

Lake Havasu (Ariz.) 60, Needles 36 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Hills led Needles with 11 points in the loss at the Lake Havasu Holiday Classic.

 

Needles 77, Parker (Ariz.) 68 — At Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Aaron Burns had 18 points and nine rebounds, and Ramos chipped in 18 points and five steals as the Mustangs beat the Broncs at the Lake Havasu Holiday Classic.

 

Kenton Hartwich and Andrew Mathews added 10 points each for Needles.
