Coronado Girls Basketball 2013-14 Capsule Preview

Head coach: Bill Crego, seventh season

2012-13 record: 19-9 (7-3 Southeast, second)

Returning letter winners (starters): Nine (one)

Top players: G Skylar Feldman (Sr.), G Dajah Washington (Jr.)

Outlook: The Cougars lost four starters to graduation, but bring back plenty of depth.

Washington averaged 7.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last year and leads a list of returnees that also includes Feldman (5.4 ppg).

“This year’s team has a lot of experience and has played together for several years,” Crego said. “We expect to be competitive, and our goal is to continue our string of playoff appearances.

“There should be good depth on the bench and fierce competition for the top five spots.”
