GIRLS BASKETBALL: Jaguars stun Pirates on Myles’ late 3-pointer

Chrystian Myles nailed a 3-pointer with two seconds in the fourth quarter Thursday to lift Desert Pines' girls basketball team to a 34-32 victory over host Moapa Valley at Overton.

Myles finished with 14 points and shot 11-for-12 from the free-throw line. The Jaguars trailed all game until Myles' 3-pointer, which was her lone field goal.

Summer Evans led the Pirates with 12 points.

Boulder City 33, Del Sol 25 — At Del Sol, Rylee Dosch had 10 points as the Eagles downed the Dragons.

Lauren Mullins added six points for Boulder City, which slowly added to its advantage in the second half after leading 13-11 at halftime.

Ana Ozuna led Del Sol with nine points, and teammate Isabel Hernandez scored eight. Ingrid Zarate-Albarran pulled down 14 rebounds for the Dragons.

Chaparral 47, Sunrise Mountain 20 — At Chaparral, Marcia Hawkins scored 15 points to lead the Cowboys past the Miners.

Alexis Vanstory added nine points for Chaparral, which outscored Sunrise Mountain, 33-4 in the second half.

Shayne Siegel scored seven points to lead the Miners.

Virgin Valley 39, Tech 35 — At Tech, Spencer Green scored 13 points as the Bulldogs rallied past the Roadrunners.

Emma Barnum added 11 points for Virgin Valley, which outscored the Roadrunners 16-11 in the fourth quarter to overturn a one-point deficit.

Tayler Muwwakkil scored 11 points to lead Tech.

Sierra Vista 49, Mojave 41 — At Mojave, Kayla Smith scored 13 points as the Mountain Lions used an 11-0 third-quarter run to down the Rattlers.

Shania Harper added 12 points for Sierra Vista, which also got eight points apiece from Danielle Morrow and Iymoni Burrell.

Savannah Blanchard-Davis had 18 points, and teammate Charleea Armstrong had 10 points to pace Mojave.

Spring Valley 58, Clark 26 — At Spring Valley, Kayla Harris posted a triple-double with 16 points, 10 assists and 11 steals as the Grizzlies routed the Chargers.

Lynnae Wilds had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Spring Valley, which jumped out to a 13-2 first-quarter lead.

Marieka Dent scored 10 points for Clark.

Western 53, Cheyenne 36 — At Western, Destiny Gonzalez had 23 points to help the Warriors pull away from the Desert Shields.

Capricia Pierce finished with 17 points, including nine in the second quarter when Western went on a 17-5 run to take a 26-14 halftime lead.

Koreyl Godbolt led Cheyenne with 19 points.

Durango 44, Las Vegas 41 — At Las Vegas, Brittany Romo scored 29 points to lift the Trailblazers past the Wildcats.

The Wildcats led 41-40 with less than a minute remaining, but Romo connected on two of four free throws down the stretch to lift Durango.

Adrina Collins scored 13 points to lead Las Vegas, which missed five straight field-goal attempts in the final minute.

Desert Oasis 68, Eldorado 33 — At Desert Oasis, Mikala Kirby poured in 23 points to help the Diamondbacks rout the Sundevils.

Brianna Clark had 14 points, and Taryn Lampkin added 10 points for Desert Oasis, which outscored Eldorado 37-24 over the middle quarters.

DeAsia Walker had 17 points, and Daria Lomasney scored 10 to lead the Sundevils.

Green Valley 73, Silverado 51 — At Silverado, Brooke Haney had 29 points, six rebounds and four steals to lead the Gators past the Skyhawks.

Yamilei Rodriguez scored 14 points, and Gwen Garcia added 12 points for Green Valley, which led 41-24 at halftime.
