ROUNDUP: Barnard propels Virgin Valley girls past Crusaders

Abbie Barnard scored 20 points on Tuesday to help Virgin Valley’s girls basketball team rally for a 51-45 road win over Faith Lutheran.

Kourtney Metzger added 12 points for the Bulldogs, who trailed 38-36 entering the fourth quarter.

Taylor Hammer scored 16 points to lead Faith Lutheran.

Coronado 60, Las Vegas 45 —
At Coronado, Ashley Johnson scored 19 points to help the Cougars roll past the Wildcats.

Grace Green added 11 points for Coronado, which led 32-12 at halftime.

Matti Ventling and Shomari Harris each scored 14 points for Las Vegas.

Green Valley 69, Sunrise Mountain 43 — At Green Valley, Maggie Manwarren had 26 points, six assists and five steals to help the Gators cruise past the Miners.

Rianna Rudolph helped Green Valley with 11 points and five steals, and teammate Ellee Barton added 10 points.

Jenae Yurek-Carhee led Sunrise Mountain with 12 points.

Canyon Springs 71, Desert Pines 28 — At Canyon Springs, Cherise Beynon had 18 points, 17 rebounds, eight assists, and five steals to lead the Pioneers to a rout of the Jaguars.

Daijhan Cooks added 18 points and 25 rebounds, and Alexia Thrower had 16 points and 11 rebounds for Canyon Springs.

Cydney Myles led Desert Pines with nine points.

Rancho 44, Del Sol 22 — At Del Sol, Tatiana Lee scored 12 points, and Kenosha Grey had 10 points to help lead the Rams to a win over the Dragons.

Jada Wilson added eight points for Rancho, which jumped out to a 23-11 halftime lead.

Melissa DeSantiago led Del Sol with nine points.

Legacy 55, Sierra Vista 20 — At Legacy, Deja Brown had 16 points and eight rebounds, and Tori Payne added 15 points and nine rebounds as the Longhorns rolled past the Lions.

Justice Akins added 13 points for Legacy, which sprinted to a 15-2 lead after the first quarter and led 34-6 at halftime.

Melia Tadytin scored 12 points for Sierra Vista.

Silverado 54, Tech 27 — At Silverado, Brittany Loguidice scored 17 points to lift the Skyhawks over the Roadrunners.

Jasmyn Garcia and Monet Salazar each added eight points for Silverado.

Clarissa Szluha scored eight points for Tech.

Mountain View 43, Indian Springs 32 —
At Mountain View, Caitlyn Martin had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Alley Cintron provided 11 points and 14 rebounds to help the Saints beat the Thunderbirds.

Seven of Cintron’s rebounds were on the offensive glass. Rose Adkins added five points and five assists for Mountain View.

Hannah Thormahlen had 10 points to lead Indian Springs.
