ROUNDUP: Beals, Bonanza girls top Western

Bonanza’s Daytril Beals had 25 points as the Bengals edged host Western 54-50 in girls basketball on Saturday.

Alice Pitts added 10 points for the Bengals, who trailed 29-27 at the half.

Michelle Simon led Western with 20 points. Louella Johnson added 12 points for the Warriors.

Moapa Valley 51, Pahranagat Valley 47 — At Overton, Shilo Parashonts scored seven of her 11 points in the first quarter as the Pirates jumped out to a 17-3 lead en route to the victory.

Caley Dunlap had 17 points to lead Moapa Valley.

Dakota Day had 18 points, and Nikki Schofield scored 17 for the Panthers.

Lake Mead 47, Trinity 27 — At Lake Mead, Jocelyn Cox had 10 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists to lead the Eagles over the Thunder.

Emily Dean had 12 points for Lake Mead.

Andrea Martinez scored 12 points for Trinity.

West Wendover 58, Mountain View 38 — At West Wendover, Danika Sharp had 30 points to lead the Wolverines over the Saints.

Patrice Marshall led Mountain View with 15 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Zari Riley added 12 points, eight rebounds and three steals for the Saints.

Lund 42, Round Mountain 25 — At Lund, Melynda Boren had 17 points, and Ale Vega scored 12 to lead the Mustangs over the Knights.

Kaitlin Farnsworth added 14 rebounds for Lund.

Kattrena Akers had 11 points for Round Mountain.

White Pine 58, Lincoln County 55 — At Ely, Alex Hall scored 15 points to help the Bobcats hold on for a win over the Lynx.

Jordan Ashby added 13 points for White Pine.

Marissa Smerek scored 18 points and Melanie Florence added 11 for Lincoln County, which trailed 24-15 after the first quarter.
