ROUNDUP: Bell leads Durango’s rout of Damonte Ranch

Mia Bell scored 30 points and had 10 steals and eight assists Saturday as Durango routed visting Damonte Ranch, 70-23.

Bell had 19 points in the first half to help the Trailblazers build a 33-12 halftime lead.

Ten players scored for Durango.

Silverado 55, North Valleys 33 — At Silverado, freshman Alena Evans had 18 points and eight rebounds, and the Skyhawks bolted to a 19-1 lead after the first quarter en route to the win.

Mikayla Thielges had 10 rebounds for Silverado, which led 30-9 at the half.

Faith Lutheran 48, Battle Mountain 42 — At the Lowry Tournament in Winnemucca, Ashley Green scored 20 points, and Faith Lutheran outscored Battle Mountain 33-25 in the second half.

Kelsey McCourt added 13 points for the Crusaders. Kiah Mayo scored 11 points.

Lincoln County 49, Virgin Valley 43 — At the Lake Mead tournament at Calvary Chapel, Marissa Smerek scored 21 points and Lincoln County used a furious fourth-quarter rally to defeat Virgin Valley in the championship game.

Mary Culverwell added 13 points for the Lynx, who trailed 32-23 after three quarters and scored 26 points in the fourth quarter.

Madison Bowler led the Bulldogs with 11 points. Rachel Morris and Ellie Biasi each added 10 points.

Moapa Valley 47, Calvary (Calif.) 18 — At the Lake Mead tournament, Brianne Olige led a balanced effort with 10 points as the Pirates claimed third place.

Moapa Valley held Calvary to just six first-half points.

West Wendover 42, Lowry JV 32 — At the Elko Classic, Danika Sharp led all scorers with 29 points, and the Wolverines built a 26-13 halftime lead on the way to the win.

West Wendover 42, McDermitt 34 — At the Elko Classic, Sharp poured in 21 points as West Wendover completed a 4-0 run in the tournament.

The Wolverines held McDermitt's 6-foot-3-inch center Becky Kersher to just eight points, thanks in large part to the defensive play of Estella Botello.
