ROUNDUP: Bonanza girls top Trojans, end 23-game losing streak

Diamond Pace scored 15 points Monday to help Bonanza’s girls basketball team break a 23-game losing streak with a 41-28 home win over Pahrump Valley in the Bengals’ season opener.

Tanganika Hunt added eight points, eight rebounds and three blocks for Bonanza, which last won on Feb. 12, 2010.

Kayla Skilling and Britney Noel each had six points for the Trojans.

Desert Oasis 66, Western 29 — At Desert Oasis, Sammi Tso drained five 3-pointers and had 19 points, and the Diamondbacks raced to a 36-12 halftime lead en route to a win over the Warriors.

Brittany Moreland led Western with eight points.

Durango 53, Sierra Vista 47 — At Durango, Darea’l Thomas had 12 points, 18 rebounds and six steals, and Jasmine Thomas had 14 points to lead the Trailblazers over the Mountain Lions.

Jasmine Suarez and Melia Tadytin each scored 14 to lead Sierra Vista.

Clark 41, Spring Valley 37 — At Clark, Bobbi Floyd had 15 points and 15 rebounds as the Chargers overcame a 24-19 deficit entering the fourth quarter to down the Grizzlies.

Johnice Bland added 10 points for Clark, which went on an 8-0 run in the fourth quarter to take the lead.

DeTiese Moore led Spring Valley with 11 points.

Legacy 51, Cheyenne 28 — At Legacy, Tori Payne had 17 points, nine rebounds, three assists and two steals, and the Longhorns used a 19-1 second-quarter run to pull away from the Desert Shields.

Noni Buckins led Cheyenne with 13 points.

Cimarron-Memorial 66, Mojave 34 — At Mojave, Kiana Carter had 21 points as the Spartans topped the Rattlers.

Zalen Price and Sarina Creswell each added 14 points for Cimarron, which held Mojave to eight points in the second half, and none in the fourth quarter.

Teaira Shorter had 10 points for the Rattlers.

Palo Verde 60, Arbor View 35 — At Arbor View, Jasmin Kiley scored 22 points, and the Panthers pulled away in the second half to down the Aggies.

Jenise McKnight and Sala Salcido each added 10 points for Palo Verde, which led 23-17 at the half.

Haley Tebbs paced Arbor View with eight points. Dana Lewis grabbed seven rebounds for the Aggies.

Basic 55, Boulder City 52 — At Boulder City, Kailai Brantner scored 22 points, and the Wolves rallied from a 20-12 first-quarter deficit to edge the Eagles.

Shanice Valentine added 18 points for Basic, which used a 17-9 third-quarter run to tie the game at 42.

Karlee Koopman paced Boulder City with 13 points and eight rebounds, and teammate Alyssa Ybarra scored 11 points.

Virgin Valley 61, Tech 39 — At Tech, Kourtney Metzger had 14 points, and Abbie Barnard scored 12 to lead the Bulldogs past the Roadrunners.

Nikki Arquette added 10 points for Virgin Valley.

Kristena Wilson had 16 points and Kristina Tatsanaram 10 for Tech.

Moapa Valley 47, Del Sol 36 — At Overton, Ashley Noto had 18 points, and the Pirates were 7 of 12 on 3-pointers en route to the win over the Dragons.

Chanel Lacroix hit four 3-pointers and scored 12, and Malory Reid had eight points and 14 rebounds for Moapa Valley.

Desiree Orozco led Del Sol with 10 points.
