ROUNDUP: Canyon Springs girls edge Valley in double OT

Kenosha Wright and Pearl Paulo each scored 15 points Thursday to help Canyon Springs’ girls basketball team maintain a share of first place in the Northeast League with a 68-64 double-overtime win over visiting Valley.

Christina Davis scored 23 points, Ashley Johnson had 13, and Estelle Wilson and Jessica Walton added 12 each for Valley.

Desert Pines 39, Las Vegas 33 — At Desert Pines, LaBrea Walker’s 19 points, seven rebounds and 10 assists helped lead the Jaguars to a victory over the Wildcats.

Shomari Harris scored eight point for Las Vegas.

Chaparral 56, Rancho 44 — At Rancho, Jacquie Ferguson scored 18 points to help the Cowboys past the Rams.

Janae Neuville added 15 points for Chaparral, which outscored Rancho 36-23 in the second half.

Aisha Momodu provided 17 points for Rancho.

Eldorado 50, Sunrise Mountain 41 — At Sunrise Mountain, Casey Bradshaw scored 15 points, and Abayomi Lyons had 11 as the

Sundevils used a 19-5 second-quarter run to beat the Miners.

Tahani Sanders led Sunrise Mountain with 16 points.

Spring Valley 45, Western 41 — At Spring Valley, Lauren Bugni scored 12 points and Meiko Taylor 10, and the Grizzlies used a 14-10 fourth quarter spurt to edge the Warriors.

Destinee Thames pulled down 19 rebounds for Spring Valley.

Michelle Simon paced Western with 14 points.

Bishop Gorman 80, Clark 12 — At Gorman, Aaryn Ellenberg scored 19 points, and the Gaels jumped to 50-8 halftime lead in a rout of the Chargers.

Chelsie Pitt had 14 points and Zhane Dikes added 10 for Gorman, which limited Clark to two made field goals.

Desert Oasis 46, Pahrump Valley 35 — At Desert Oasis, Sammi Tso hit all six of her fourth-quarter free throws and finished with 14 points to lead the Diamondbacks past the Trojans.

Tatiana Kearn also had 14 points, and Auburn Smith added 12 for the Diamonbacks, who went 8-for-11 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter to pull away.

Toi Simmons led Pahrump with 12 points.
