ROUNDUP: Foothill girls rally to edge Silverado

Cheryl Harless scored 18 points to help Foothill’s girls basketball team nip host Silverado 48-45 on Tuesday.
Mercedes Starr added 13 points for the Falcons, who trailed 29-28 entering the fourth quarter.
Shea Collins led Silverado with 11 points. Alena Evans and Natalie Lainhart each scored 10 for the Skyhawks.

Coronado 66, Del Sol 37 —
At Coronado, Carli Smith scored 14 points as the Cougars cruised to a win over the Dragons.
Nicole Ruffino added 12 points for Coronado, which outscored Del Sol 49-24 in the middle two quarters.
Amy Austin led the Dragons with 16 points.
Basic 50, Tech 37 — At Tech, Michaela Thomas scored nine of her 20 points in the second quarter, and the Wolves limited the Roadrunners to 11 second-half points to pull away for the win.
Marquichea Burns added 15 points for Basic.
Mesha Phillips paced Tech with 19 points.
Arbor View 50, Mojave 45 — At Mojave, Jenna Valenzuela scored 14 points to lead the Aggies past the Rattlers.
Ashley Yancey had 11 points, and Ashley Dawkins added 10 for Arbor View.
Ivionna Reece scored 12 points and Jazzmine Robinson netted 10 for Mojave.
Legacy 63, Shadow Ridge 28 — At Legacy, Shakita Cox had 12 points to help the Longhorns rout the Mustangs.
Breanah Manley had 10 points, and Latia Matthews grabbed 12 rebounds for Legacy, which outscored Shadow Ridge 15-2 in the second quarter to pull ahead.
Elisha Hensey led Shadow Ridge with 11 points.
Centennial 76, Palo Verde 39 — At Palo Verde, Alexis Byrd had 22 points, and Shannon Brown scored 19 as the Bulldogs routed the Panthers.
Courtney Hayes added 12 points and Ashley Klemz had 10 for Centennial.
Lily Tapusoa led Palo Verde with 10 points.
Faith Lutheran 69, Cimarron-Memorial 38 — At Faith Lutheran, Joi Goynes scored 19 points to lead the Crusaders past the Spartans.
Kelsey McCourt added 15 points and Alex Treadwell had 13 for Faith Lutheran.
Leilani Blanco led Cimarron with 14 points.
Sierra Vista 71, Clark 35 — At Sierra Vista, Jeanette Jackson had 18 points to lead four players in double figures as the Lions topped the Chargers.
Nicolette Grigsby added 15 points, Teena Baxter scored 13 and Marley Wakeen chipped in 10 for Sierra Vista, which trailed 12-3 after one quarter but exploded for 26 second-quarter points.
Michelle Garcia and Tarah Murph each had 10 points for Clark.
Bishop Gorman 81, Bonanza 30 — At Gorman, Aaryn Ellenberg led four double-figure scorers with 17 points as the Gaels rolled past Bonanza.
Zhane Dikes added 15 points, and Tonishia Childress and Chelsie Pitt each scored 10.
 
Alex Duncan led the Bengals with six points.
Desert Oasis 54, Spring Valley 51 — At Spring Valley, Trini Morgan scored 14 points to help the Diamondbacks hold on to beat the Grizzlies.
 
Megan Stanton added 12 points for Desert Oasis.
Jessica Davis led Spring Valley with 13 points. Michi Taylor and Lauren Bugni added 10 points apiece for the Grizzlies.
Durango 48, Western 32 — At Durango, the Trailblazers sprinted to a 19-2 first-quarter lead and downed the Warriors.
Cherelle Hicks had 14 points to lead Durango. Amanda Boucher added 13 points and Tiarra Belville contributed 11 for the Trailblazers.
Daresheoun Lee led Western with 10 points.
Boulder City 52, Sunrise Mountain 30 — At Boulder City, Jessi Forrester scored 15 points, and the Eagles limited Sunrise Mountain to 10 first-half points en route to the win.
Karlee Koopman added 12 points for the Eagles.
Jasmine Jones had 12 points for the Miners.
Mountain View 71, The Meadows 8 — At Calvary Chapel, Zari Riley had 23 points, 13 rebounds and four steals to lead the Saints in a rout of the Mustangs.
 
Mountain View’s Amani Holliday added 11 points and six rebounds, and Patrice Marshall tallied 10 points and seven rebounds.
Briana Marruffo contributed six points, five rebounds, eight assists and nine steals for the Saints.
Needles 67, Agassi Prep 27 — At Agassi Prep, Miranda Brackett scored 23 points as the Mustangs cruised past the Stars.
Kristin Arthur added 18 points and Alex Chandler had 12 for Needles.
Marshante Herring and Alannah Conway scored eight points apiece for Agassi Prep.
Lake Mead 61, Sandy Valley 1 — At Sandy Valley, Jordan Clarke had 18 points as the Eagles routed the Sidewinders.
Sandy Valley finished 0-for-52 from the field.

4A/3A girls state roundup: Legacy, Canyon Springs ousted

Legacy and Canyon Springs couldn’t keep up in the Class 4A girls basketball state semifinals. The Southern Region representatives in 3A also were eliminated.
