ROUNDUP: Fourth-quarter run propels Spring Valley girls past Mustangs

Jessica Stevens scored 15 points, and Spring Valley’s girls basketball team used a 21-8 fourth-quarter spurt Wednesday to post a 56-45 win over visiting Shadow Ridge.

Jessica Rafay added 13 points for Spring Valley, which trailed 37-35 entering the fourth quarter.

Michelle Wager scored 14 points, and Ciera DaPra supplied 10 points for Shadow Ridge.

Arbor View 62, Palo Verde 53 — At Arbor View, Janae Strode tallied 13 points and 11 rebounds, and teammate Dana Lewis supplied 12 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Aggies to a win over the Panthers.

Ariona Gill added 12 points for Arbor View, which used a 25-14 third-quarter spurt to take control.

Ioana Ganeva poured in 19 points, and Ivana Ganeva had 17 points to lead Palo Verde, which got 12 points from Nallah Thomas.

Foothill 77, Eldorado 52 — At Eldorado, Taylor Turney scored 30 points to power the Falcons past the Sundevils.

Tabitha Williams added 14 points for Foothill, which got 12 points each from Katey Roquemore and Kailani Killebrew.

Desia Walker had 21 points, Allyah Swain scored 15, and Denisheun Jackson posted 14 points for Eldorado, which got 14 rebounds from Skyler Lomasney.

Las Vegas 69, Green Valley 57 — At Las Vegas, Matti Ventling scored 29 points and grabbed six rebounds, and Shomari Harris supplied 23 points and six assists to lead the Wildcats to a win over the Gators.

Green Valley used a 26-9 first quarter to take control.

Maggie Manwarren posted 14 points, and Rianna Rudolph added 12 points for Green Valley, which got 10 points from Kelli Harper.

Valley 48, Silverado 27 — At Silverado, Kennedy Wharton poured in 24 points, and the Vikings battled back from a 20-17 halftime deficit to down the Skyhawks.

Brittany Loguidice had 10 points for Silverado.

Durango 58, Sierra Vista 34 — At Sierra Vista, Jazmine Chavez scored 20 points to help the Trailblazers earn a win over the Lions.

Maria Rico added 15 points for Durango.

Melia Tadytin scored 15 points for Sierra Vista.

Canyon Springs 59, Rancho 30 — At Rancho, Alexia Thrower scored 24 points, and Daijhan Cooks added 10 points as the Pioneers stymied the Rams.

Cherise Beynon scored nine points, and Mandy Chitwood tallied eight points for Canyon Springs, which outscored Rancho 21-2 in the second quarter to take control.

LaKissa Martin led Rancho with 15 points.

Liberty 58, Basic 18 — At Basic, Sydney Clark scored 15 points, and Kealy Brown supplied 11 points, eight rebounds and five assists, as the Patriots routed the Wolves.

Tali Pitt added 12 points for Liberty.

Jayla Brown led Basic with nine points.

Coronado 70, Del Sol 24 — At Del Sol, Sofie Cruz had 14 points, and the Cougars got points from 12 players en route to an easy win over the Dragons.

Ashley Johnson scored 12, and Dajah Washington added 11 points for Coronado.

Rela Coleman had 11 points for Del Sol.

Sandy Valley 29, Word of Life 14 —
 At Sandy Valley, Emily Stanley scored seven points to lead the Sidewinders to the win.

Sandy Valley held Word of Life to three second-half points.
