ROUNDUP: Lane helps Gorman cruise past Durango in opener

Amber Lane scored 18 points Friday as Bishop Gorman’s girls basketball team opened Southwest League play with a 68-20 win at Durango.
Toneishia Childress added 16 points, Zhane Dikes supplied 12, and Julia Ewalefo contributed 10 points for Gorman.
Tiarra Beville tallied nine points and 14 rebounds to lead Durango.
Cimarron-Memorial 78, San Fernando (Calif.) 14 — At Cimarron, Tyler Simpson scored 20 points, and Traci Parks had 19 to lead the Spartans in a rout of the visiting Titans.
Indian Springs 32, Laughlin 28 — At Indian Springs, Tessa Lounsbury scored 13 points, and Karys Melgoza added 12 points to help lead the Thunderbirds to a victory over the Cougars.
Kay Van led Laughlin with eight points, and Deana Durazo supplied six points.
Pahranagat Valley 49, The Meadows 16 — At Alamo, Bailee Hosier scored 16 points to lead the Panthers past the Mustangs.
Halie Lewis added 12 points for Pahranagat.
Mountain View 56, Connelly (Calif.) 28 — At Anaheim, Calif., Briana Marruffo tallied 21 points, and the Saints outscored Connelly 30-12 in the second half to pull away for a win in the Husky Invitational.
Jordan Davison added 11 points for Mountain View, which got seven points and eight rebounds from Katelyn Krebs.
