ROUNDUP: Liberty girls clinch No. 1 seed in Sunrise tourney with win

Destiny Whitehead and Jade Washington each scored 20 points Tuesday to help Liberty’s girls basketball team wrap up at least a share of the Southeast League title and a No. 1 seed for the Sunrise Region tournament with a 67-55 win at Silverado.

Amanda Delgado tallied 15 points and Daynice Cochran added 12 for Liberty.

Shea Collins had 12 points and six assists, and Natalie Lainhart and Tae’lor Monroe each scored 10 points for Silverado.

Green Valley 89, Del Sol 22 — At Green Valley, Jazmine Jarvis had 33 points, 10 assists and 10 steals, and the Gators sprinted to a 50-9 halftime lead before slamming the Dragons.

Sarah Pickus supplied 18 points, 12 rebounds and nine steals for Green Valley, and teammate Danielle Christenson scored 10 points.

Foothill 45, Basic 38 — At Basic, Bri Higgins scored 17 points as Foothill overcame a 16-14 halftime deficit and beat the Wolves.

Alysse Thummel added 10 points for the Falcons.

Brielle Wilke scored 17 points for Basic.

Coronado 48, Tech 43 — At Tech, Nicole Ruffino and Sofie Cruz each scored 14 points, and the Cougars battled back from a 17-15 halftime deficit to beat the Roadrunners.

Julie Harless scored 12 points, and Adriana Heredia provided 10 points for Tech.

Arbor View 38, Palo Verde 37 — At Palo Verde, Taylor Shields’ 3-pointer with six seconds left lifted Arbor View past the Panthers.

Erika Lang scored 17 points and Shields added 11 for the Aggies.

Jasmin Kiley led the Panthers with 13 points.

Mojave 43, Cimarron-Memorial 35 — At Mojave, Jazzmine Robinson and Ivionna Reece each scored nine points, and the Rattlers used a 15-7 third-quarter run to slip past the Spartans.

Clarissa Cannon pulled down 10 rebounds for Mojave.

Leilani Blanco tallied 11 points for Cimarron.

Legacy 59, Cheyenne 43 — At Cheyenne, Shakita Cox scored 20 points to help the Longhorns past the Desert Shields.

Breanah Manley chipped in 13 points for Legacy.

Shaunice Cameron led Cheyenne with 12 points, and Kayla Armstrong added 10 points.

Shadow Ridge 35, Faith Lutheran 28 — At Faith Lutheran, Elisha Hensey scored 20 points to lead the visiting Mustangs past the Crusaders.

Kelsey McCourt tallied 17 points to pace Faith Lutheran.

Chaparral 62, Eldorado 31 — At Eldorado, Jacquie Ferguson and Janae Neuville each scored 16 points to help Chaparral roll past the Sundevils.

Zeylesse Bass added 12 points, and Tichina Savoy scored 11.

Valley 53, Sunrise Mountain 27 — At Valley, Christina Davis scored 12 points as the Vikings sailed past Sunrise Mountain.

Alicia Winchester led the Miners with seven points.

Desert Pines 64, Rancho 33 — At Rancho, TaQuiyyah Boyles tossed in 20 points to lead the visiting Jaguars in a rout of the Rams.

Claudia Meneses had 19 points, and LaBrea Walker added 17 for Desert Pines, which grabbed a 28-10 halftime lead.

Maijah Williams had 11 points for Rancho.

Virgin Valley 53, Henderson International 26 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris had 14 points and nine rebounds, and Madison Bowler supplied 13 points and five steals as the Bulldogs enjoyed an easy win over the Wolverines.

Jenelle Weythman added nine points and seven rebounds for Virgin Valley, which led 21-5 after one quarter and held the Wolverines to one point in the second.

Brittany Huff had eight points for Henderson International.

Mountain View 54, The Meadows 15 — At Mountain View, Zari Riley had 15 points and 23 rebounds as the Saints routed The Meadows.

Briana Marruffo added 12 points, nine rebounds and seven assists for Mountain View, and teammate Patrice Marshall scored 10 points.

Savannah Sturm led the Mustangs with six points.

Needles 78, Agassi Prep 27 — At Needles, Miranda Brackett had 13 points, and the Mustangs jumped out to a 38-8 halftime advantage en route to the easy win.

Chrystian Dick added 12 points, and Alex Chandler scored 11 for Needles.

LaBrishun Hardwick had 15 points for the Stars.

Lake Mead 46, Moapa Valley 39 — At Lake Mead, Jordan Clarke scored 15 points, and Taylor Badua-Kono added 12 as the Eagles beat the Pirates.

Jocelyn Cox supplied nine points and eight assists, and Samantha Herman grabbed 13 rebounds for Lake Mead.

Caley Dunlap scored 14 points to pace Moapa Valley.

Round Mountain 36, Tonopah 31 — At Tonopah, Round Mountain used a 20-8 run in the fourth quarter to rally past the Muckers.

Kattrena Akers scored 14 points to lead the Knights.

Amanda O’Donnell paced Tonopah with nine points, and Britney Klapper had 11 rebounds for the Muckers.

Pahranagat Valley 49, Lund 27 — At Alamo, Dakota Day scored 18 points, and the Panthers rolled to a 24-8 halftime lead en route to the win.

Halie Lewis and Addie Canning added 11 points apiece for the Panthers, who clinched the No. 1 seed for the Class 1A Southern League tournament.

Indian Springs 48, Sandy Valley 15 — At Sandy Valley, Indian Springs outscored the Sidewinders 28-6 in the second half to put away the win.
