ROUNDUP: Murray’s late foul shots push Legacy girls past Mustangs

Kayla Murray hit the second of two free throws with 32 seconds left to help Legacy’s girls basketball team edge host Shadow Ridge 56-55 on Monday.

Murray finished with 17 points, and teammate Breanah Manley scored 10.

Shadow Ridge’s Elisha Hensey netted a game-high 24 points, and Sabriya Brooks added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs.

Faith Lutheran 54, Cimarron-Memorial 46 — At Cimarron-Memorial, the Crusaders led 32-16 at the half and held on to defeat the Spartans.

Kelsey McCourt and Alex Treadwell each scored 13 points to lead Faith Lutheran.

Cimarron’s Leilani Blanco scored 13 points, and Tyler Simpson and Chalon Henderson each added 10 points for the Spartans.

Centennial 78, Palo Verde 38 — At Centennial, Courtney Hayes had a game-high 22 points as the Bulldogs easily defeated the Panthers.

Shannon Brown added 19 points, Ashley Klemz scored 12 and Alexis Byrd contributed 11 for Centennial.

Jasmin Kiley had 13 points and Alyssa Amoruso scored 12 for Palo Verde.

Durango 52, Western 32 — At Western, The Trailblazers built a 29-8 halftime lead and cruised past the Warriors.

Tierra Belville had 15 points, and Megan Tullis added 11 to lead Durango.

Michelle Simon scored 11 points for Western.

Desert Oasis 59, Spring Valley 45 — At Desert Oasis, Auburn Smith scored 13 of her 17 points in the second half to help the Diamondbacks beat the Grizzlies.

Trini Morgan added 14 points, and Tatiana Kearn scored 11 for Desert Oasis.

Lauren Bugni had 14 points and Adriana Flores-Proano contributed 13 for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 70, Bonanza 24 — At Bonanza, Aaryn Ellenberg and April Rivers each scored 13 points to lead the Gaels past the Bengals.

Zhane Dikes had 12 points, and Chelsie Pitt added 10 for Gorman, which clinched the Southwest League title.

Alice Pitts scored a game-high 15 points for Bonanza.

Sierra Vista 78, Clark 28 — At Clark, Jeanette Jackson and Nicolette Grigsby each had 16 points as the Mountain Lions routed the Chargers.

Johnie Pride added 13 points and Marley Wakeen scored 11 for Sierra Vista, which put together a 21-1 run in the third quarter.

Tech 55, Del Sol 36 — At Del Sol, Julie Harless scored 17 points, and Adriana Heredia had 15 points to lead the Roadrunners past the Dragons.

Mesha Phillips added 10 points for Tech, which led 34-14 at the half.

Tringo Beyene led Del Sol with nine points.

Needles 52, Mountain View 26 — At Mountain View, Alex Chandler and Kristen Arthur each had 10 points to lead the Mustangs past the Saints.

Needles clinched the Class 2A Southern League’s top playoff seed with the victory.

Patrice Marshall scored 10 points, and Zari Riley had eight rebounds for Mountain View.
