ROUNDUP: Nash fuels OT run as Foothill girls clinch home playoff game

Christina Nash scored five of her 12 points in overtime Tuesday as Foothill’s girls basketball team secured a home game for the first round of the Sunrise Region playoffs by nipping host Silverado, 60-55.
Julie Harless scored 14 points for Foothill, which led by as many as 10 points in the third quarter before Silverado stormed back.
Cheryl Harless added 13 points, and Breanna Frazer scored 12 for the Falcons (14-10, 9-4 Southeast League).
Diamondique Wright had 16 points for the Skyhawks, who got 12 points apiece from Tae’lor Monroe and Natalie Lainhart.
Basic 49, Tech 41 — At Tech, Kelsey Gunther scored 19 points to help the Wolves hold off the Roadrunners.
Kailai Brantner added 16 points for Basic, which used a 19-5 first-quarter spurt to pull away.
Adriana Heredia led Tech with 24 points.
Liberty 64, Green Valley 47 — At Liberty, Jade Washington had 21 points and seven assists to lead the Patriots past the Gators.
Amanda Delgado added 16 points, and Alena Evans scored 14 for the Patriots, who outscored the Gators, 36-21 in the second half.
Shavon Stevens led Green Valley with 16 points. Angelica Mack added 13 points, and Mackenzie Butler scored 10 for the Gators.
Coronado 55, Del Sol 39 — At Coronado, Caitlin Trost scored 17 points to help the Cougars top the Dragons.
Desiree Orozco scored 12 and Melissa DeSantiago 11 for Del Sol.
Virgin Valley 48, Boulder City 42 — At Mesquite, Rachel Morris had 15 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bulldogs past the Eagles.
Cassidy Crandall added 12 points, including sinking 6 of 7 from the free-throw line in the second half for Virgin Valley, which rallied from a 21-14 halftime deficit.
Taylor McKeever had 12 points and Mallory Bird 11 for Boulder City.
Mountain View 61, The Meadows 32 — At Mountain View, Briana Marruffo and Patrice Marshall scored 22 points apiece as the Saints guaranteed themselves at least a 20-win season for the first time at the Class 2A level.
Marruffo also had seven rebounds, four assists and four steals, and Marshall supplied four assists and two steals.
Claudia Close led the Mustangs with 10 points.
Lake Mead 44, Laughlin 33 — At Lake Mead, Heather Hillenbrand tallied 16 points and 10 rebounds to help lead the Eagles past the Cougars.
Colleen Zumaran added 11 points and 11 rebounds for the Eagles, and Taylor Badua-Kono scored 11.
Diana Durazo paced Laughlin with 10 points.
Needles 48, Calvary Chapel 27 — At Calvary Chapel, Abby Chandler scored 14 points, and Gena Chavira added 10 points to help the Mustangs cruise past the Lions.
Deja Harris paced Calvary Chapel with 11 points, and teammate Sammie Mann added 10 points.
Beatty 70, Adelson School 37 — At Adelson School, Alyssa Regalado had  20 points, and the Hornets used a 42-15 run in the middle quarters to put away the Stars.
Caitlin Ulrich added 15 points, and Danielle Henderson scored 11 for Beatty.
Sueleika Blackwell led Adelson with 19 points.
